I don't think it will every be truly "ready", CIP are the watchwords round my shed, in equipment, knives and materials. Its the ONLY way. I have also just been contemplating my personal, watchwords.. I scooted over the old standbys, Faith, Hope and Charity and ended up with Integrity, Honesty and Empathy.I will be looking forward to them. Enjoy that time off as you ready your shop.

Great looking knives. The Half Stop Schrade 804 Whittler, and a Camco Camper that I re-handled with Water Buffalo Horn. They sell 5 or 6 inch pieces of it in the dog chew aisle. I cut the scales from one of those. It smells pretty foul when it’s cut and sanded, but it polishes out like glass. And there are some nice, but subtle highlights in it.View attachment 2424485Burr Oak knife posing stand on the edge of a Big Bluestem meadow…View attachment 2424431View attachment 2424432Kishwaukee River, Shirley Bridge canoe launch. Woulda been a good morning to hunt up some Smallmouth Bass. There was a lady putting in a kayak, so I mentioned that. But saw no fishing rods.View attachment 2424433View attachment 2424434
Grafting knife.Good Evening Porchsters,
I am up early in the morning working trying to create a week off next week, I have not cut anything with this knife to date, I don't even know what it is, one end is a shoe horn type set up. So here is tomorrows knife today. View attachment 2424798View attachment 2424800

Some Budding/Grafting knives were made of Elephant tooth, or Walrus tusk. Does yours have a file-worked spring?Hi Oldy,
I cannot be sure, its very heavy, seems too heavy for bone.
