May I ask if that is a hybrid ( wood..resin )handle?
Exactly Bob... yes its marketed as a 'wood and blue resin amalgam' whatever that is! Generic stainless steel, guess is 440A. RR calls it the Shoreline Blue Hunter. Pretty good blade, holds up well, looks nice, a few gaps around the guard. But you get what you pay for at $20! :)

Haven't been to town for six days so we'll be leaving for town in a bit to see what's been happening and to catch up on the goings on at the Wagon Wheel Cafe. Holding off breakfast until we reach the Wagon Wheel Cafe. This Remington Trapper will be a capable companion during our travels and appropriate for Trapper Tuesday.

YIPPEE!!!!! I had no sooner clicked the "Post reply" button for my above post when I looked out the window and lo and behold it's snowing. Pretty heavy with big soft flakes. I'll still stick with the Remington but I'm adding this Buck 110 LT to my carry. Who doesn't enjoy a ride to town in a heavy snow fall? Gonna be fun.
