Tue Blade Tuesday...

Headed out to town pretty soon to lay in some groceries to stock our larder so we'll be well stocked for the upcoming snow storm approaching. They'e saying up to ten inches but I really don't think it'll be more than five or six inches. None-the-less, it never hurts to be prepared. While out, we'll top off the gas tank on the truck and then we'll eat at the Wagon Wheel Cafe before stopping at the Holiday Market and the Grocery Outlet. This trip calls for this old Capped Jack. A plenty stout knife to have when out and about in the snow.

Bob, I don't think any of us believed you about getting a canoe. That sure is a stately one, nice choice.

Black Monday, couldn't resist carrying the HJ again for moral support. Not pictured is the SAK super tinker, the real hero of the day. More caulk and foam, the bill has now gotten into handbuilt slipjoint territory 😳. Hopefully that comes back to me pretty quick via reduced gas bill this winter?

Have a great day everyone! I've got some shoveling and sledding to get done now.☃️.

🤷‍♂️ the pull was irresistible Fred.😁

A very nice LaRock and hamon treatment.

I hope all your efforts do pay off in the long run.
Procrastination has kept me from window caulking...thanks for the motivation.👍🏻

As usual, we had a couple of bullet wounds here from gunshots fired into the air at the stroke of midnight. :(o_O I guess not all gun owners have a complete grasp of the influence of gravity on projectile motion.
You mean they don't "burn up on re-entry"? 😳
Zwei schöne deutsche Taschenmesser für Dienstag!:cool::thumbsup:
Danke.

Good-looking edge, Chris! :thumbsup::cool::thumbsup:
KME is supposed to be a sophisticated sharpening system, right? I doubt if I'd ever get anything like that, but I have a couple of low-end guided systems that I ought to learn to use, instead of being satisfied with hand-honing on the unglazed edge of a candy dish cover!
I wouldn't necessarily call it "sophisticated". It looks a lot like an improvised slingshot. I started pricing bench stones, etc. (not cheap) and ultimately decided to go with the KME after some very helpful insight from SoansoMcMasters SoansoMcMasters . It appeared to be the "best bang for the buck". Truth be told, I haven't spent a lot of time with it. 🤷‍♂️ Hand-honing on a candy dish? I want to be like you when I grow up! 😁

Thank you! Her name is Inara and she is a real sweetheart.

Cats can really be soothing. I have fallen asleep more times than I can count after she curls up with me on the recliner.

Their normal body temp is 101.5 so the added heat and purring really does help

Willow sleeps with me every night. She's a biter though so best to stay covered up when she gets happy. Pay no attention to my clothes on the floor, Lovey will be sure to remind me. Required knife content below with another companion that spends the night under my pillow.

This is up my alley when it comes to buying more knives🤙
That's a gorgeous pair!! Wait a minute... a big blade and whittle blade combo?? What IS that thing??? 😲
Thanks, Chris
It’s a modded, very late production Camillus TL-29. In looking for suitable candidates for experimenting on, I would keep an eye out for mucked up TL-29s. In this case, someone had crudely ground the screwdriver blade into a “clip blade”, giving me a chance to re-shape it into something useful without committing the sin of modding a rare or collectible knife.
