Thanks Will, I would agree! I have quite a few with micarta covers, but GEC’s burlap is definitely my favorite!Micarta King right there
Beautiful material, just right for those knives![]()
Thank you Jeremy! Two great burlap micarta examples, Joe, er, I mean Ken.![]()
Thank you Bob, they are even better in person!I would call them beauties Ken.![]()
Why thank you Bob! You do have indeed have varied taste, Sam Cooke is a classic. I want to check out Nils Lofgren. And a Kroo... Get out of my head Bob!Hi FC, great cutlery today.
I have an eclectic mix right now.
Why thankee Bart! I'm proud of the patina, although usually I just use them and wait. Not so proud of the fact that I carry that sweet little Wayne Walker so seldom that you thought it was newThe patina looks good FC. So does the new fixed blade.
Gosh it's beautiful! I never new the '13 run had the secondaries on the "correct" side. Darnit, this is going to cost me!No sorcery, just factory![]()
Nice pic! Looks like you got some good patina going!Micarta single blade Case trapper

Gary, your seach-foo is better than mineMike, i always get confused with Case pattern numbers, and my go-to resource is a "Case Pattern Number Reference Guide" at AAPK. But, to my surprise, that resource didn't even have an 032 pattern listed.
But I found this thread:
https://www.bladeforums.com/threads/case-63032.775676/
The 5th post seems to answer your question, at least as I understand it.

Thanks guys! Exactly what I wanted to know. I didn't know about the half-stops. Regarding the length, Case lists the length of the 032 as 3.63" (3 5/8") on their website. I took my digital caliper to the one I have here and measured 3.55". So, unsurprisingly, Charlie is more accurate than CaseMike, Case changed to the "032" pattern which is slightly smaller (3 1/2" vs 3 5/8"), and has cam tangs instead of half stops, in 1978!!!

I have a Buck 373 very similar to yours that belonged to my FIL before he died, and it seems to have taken up almost permanent residence in my watch pocket lately. Very handy "medium" stockman!Sunday Stockman...

We can do that??? I'm in!Send that weather back to Canada and tell them we don't want it![]()
Belated congratulations on your new grandchild!!...
It’s been a busy weekend! We’ve been running back and forth across the mountain to the hospital anxiously awaiting the birth of our first grandbaby. Thursday was a false alarm, but Friday night we were back again. Then very late last night we were blessed with a beautiful granddaughter. Both Momma and Baby are doing well; Son-In-Law is a little worse for wear, but nothing that a good night’s sleep won’t fix. Incidentally, he probably won’t get that for awhile.![]()
Very cool sky photo, Jeff! What is that bright light in the middle? I haven't seen anything like that for about a month.I won’t brag about our 10 below after seeing what @paulhilborn had this morning.
But I did get a nice shot of sundogs on the way to church.View attachment 2457640 So, totin a blade deleted, elk antler dog chew handled Camillus TL-29, and this wee Schrade Walden 808Y Stockman. I’m always amazed at the coined liners and perfect fit of those little blades and springs.View attachment 2457642View attachment 2457643

I'll bet that trio of Russell Barlows would have generated quite a bit of heat, had you carried them!I didn't actually carry these today as truth be told I have spent most of my weekend in my flannel pj's out of the bitter cold and snow. I usually have a boys knife in my pocket then or Alox Solo.

Distinguished dark lockback, José!
Sweet Imperial BSA, Jim!
I admire the Eagles, too. "Hotel California" is probably their best-known, but I like so many of their songs! Thanks Todd. I will whisper good luck because my wife is an Eagles fan.
This should get a nod from friends of Buck knives.

Couple of elegant Bucks, gents!... This Buck 501 with Burgundy Burlap Micarta covers will do for today. Sausage and eggs for breakfast.

Have a safe and enjoyable/productive trip, even without your SBJ; hope you don't have serious withdrawal symptoms! This will be the last day I am able to carry the SBJ for next few weeks. I’m traveling abroad tomorrow and won’t risk any customs officer taking a liking to it. Tonight it will get some mineral oil and tucked in my drawer.

Couple of American classics, Taylor, even if stainless seems unusual for you!![]()
Two stainless knives today![]()
Love the knives, hate the snow!
Also if lightsabers are from a long long time ago in a galaxy far far away, does that mean they count as "traditional"?
I have no idea what lemoncello is, but it looks cheerful! When life (and your neighbors) gives you several bags of lemons, right after you bought out all the lemons from one of the stands at the local farmers market, make lemoncello. My wife and I spent a couple of hours peeling about half of our stock of lemons today, swapping knives as they got too dull.
Right after this picture I cleaned and oiled the knives; I hope to find time to sharpen them tomorrow, but we may just grab a different pile of knives to go through the rest of the lemons, and sharpen everything later in the week.

Looks like a carving of a horrific reanimated baleen whale.
...
Great question! I didn't even notice that until you pointed it out.Hmm.. If you're seeing what I'm seeing... It appears to be one of two things. 1. a one-eyed alien voodoo doll head of some sort, or 2. a squirrel turd.

Are you guys all products of theI see a one eyed animal head. No charcoal at all.
When I was a child, I had a Tarzan paperback book with various "adventures" of Tarzan. One creature he battled had a human body with a raven head with raptor beak. That is what came to mind when I saw the object
Thanks, Jack....
That's pretty cool Gary
...
Thanks pal, I think that's the pointiest knife I own, any pointier, and it'd be a punch!![]()
Memorable pair, Jack!I'm sure it was hard work Tyson, but it also sounds like fun!![]()

You’re probably right Gary…but then again, math isn’t my strongest suit.
Exactly why I haven’t grabbed one yet Jeff. If I do grab one it will be a prop only cigar.

Steve Pfeiffer's book is carefully assembled, and amazingly informative about Case!!!Gary, your seach-foo is better than mine
