What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

SAK of the Week isn't a Swiss Army Knife, but it is made by Victorinox. It's a serrated stainless paring knife, one of the few fixed blade knives I have (and most are paring knives, as shown in second photo).

Stockman of the Week is the first sowbelly stockman I ever handled, an amber jigged bone Rough Rider. I'm sure I have far more canoes than sowbelly stockman knives, but in terms of my favorite pattern, sowbelly stockman is a close second to canoe and getting closer all the time.

Is there such a thing as Mundane Monday?View attachment 2483945View attachment 2483946I managed to scoop up Mr Punkin without him oozing off my fork, and dump him in a better spot. We never carved it, so it’s full of seeds. I think the pumpkin farmer uses open pollinated varieties, so they should sprout.
Two years ago, chipmunks salvaged squash seeds out of a compost pile, and “planted” them under this tree in the front yard. They grew like crazy and spread all over. Maybe the pumpkin will do the same?
when i was in 4th grade my mum planted 5 pumpkin seeds in the good size yard we had at the time....
we "lost" the yard. had to go to the grade k to 3 school down the block to "play outside".

She NEVER planted any form/type of squash again. not even after her and step pop moved to Missouri and she had a 20 or 30 acre field out the back door & on the other side of the 1 acre pony corral/field for a garden if she so desired. 🙄

Had a rafter of turkeys in the yard this morning.
Carrying my Joel Chamblin WT for Monday.

Bear with me guys/gals/youngsters - I gotta get use (or is it used) to using Windows 10 and using this laptop. The keyboard sucks - keys very stiff - not responsive to my delicate fingertips. Well, the sun is shining bright and all the snow has melted. Gonna gather all the tax forms together to take to the tax man tomorrow. Totin this Bull Nose today. ????????????? for breakfast.

Beautiful bone on your Case!:thumbsup::cool:
What model is that?

Carrying a couple of vintage pieces from the East ;)
I like that phrase, Jack! 🤓:thumbsup:
Instead of referring to "Chinese Schrade" knives, I'll try to start using "Oriental Schrade" for a more mystical aura! ;)

I could not have been more pleased with 31 straight days with the BF 34. Now…I will quit this insanity of consistency.

View attachment 2479131recieved this incredible gift today,it was a gift from Jeff/amir ,after seeing his countless pictures of electricians knives i asked if he knew where I could buy one, that I was looking for one to give to my wife's son who is an electrician and and a collector of all things old, Jeff told me he had a few but none for sale but added I will gift you one,so true to his word here it is today resting on soft seal skin.and the crazy part about this is he had to mail it twice, having paying postage twice, landing today of all things on the wife's son's birthday. Crazy man crazy.
Congrats on the linesman knife for your wife's son, and kudos to Jeff for his generosity and persistence!:thumbsup::cool:

PAL Muskrat with us this morning at the far end of the Park. We haven't been able to get here in a while due to weather/access roads. Jack thrilled to revisit.

Just in yesterday afternoon. Still no rain. I've completely given up on our weather person. Don't know where he is anyway since he left home yesterday after I slapped him until his socks fell down. Jimmy Dean hot sausage and eggs for breakfast. The hot sausage is the final test to make sure my chew is healed. Gotta be able to have a snack for the Super Bowl.

Great looking knives, and love the herd of turtles (realizing I don’t actually know the collective noun for a group of turtles. Herd? Pack?)

Two beauties!

Posting a little later in the day as it is mid-60’s outside, have been soaking up the weather :).
