I love this Dan! Insanely great sharpening as always.

I get a kick out of AI photos. This was what I got from “I need a photo of a lamb with menacing fangs”. 😂😬
Gracias Jon !
I think I am going to have nightmares about that lamb that you posted :D
AI is really getting imaginative 😅
The price of wool is going up.
😅

Would you mind sharing the info on the sharpening system?
Thanks

It is the "Leading Edge" system designed by our own BF sharpening guru 777 Edge 777 Edge

I started a thread a few years back about its assembly and use

For the more simple carbon and SS steels of our traditional knives I have been having amazing results with the PSA backed 3M aluminum oxide films.
I made my own lapping plates using glass glued to aluminum flat stock.

The optional metal clamps are called "KakBritva" and are available from the Gritomatic store. They are great to hold the smaller blades of our traditionals.
edit: I lubricate ( and also clean ) the film often using mineral oil to extend its life and remove steel residue

Also have to give credit to my special alox Pioneer. I put this in my back pocket every day and have for probably more than 10 years. Having no bail loop on this version has made all the difference for me too.
Well that’s an alox color I don’t see often🤙

Not toted for a while. Light-weight and hardly noticed in the shorts pocket on a lazy, wet afternoon.
Pretty striking wood. Beautiful, in fact.🤔
I like when you guys post knives that are new to me. Very nice.
Nice to see you, Jim.
How’s ‘ol Mason?
You guys should post more often.😎

That looks a bit too complicated for Mr. P. ........... my method looks pretty sad compared to that !😊
I reckon I will just stick with kinda sharp, lucky sharp, almost wicked sharp when I get real lucky. 🤣

Been a long Sunday... Almost midnight here...my sister took the Labor Day weekend literally... 🤣

She went into labor early this morning & blessed us with a new family member 😍

I got a nephew now & have taken on the status as Uncle!

Special occasion calls for special carry. I had the Pearl Case & my late grandfathers Imperial Barlow with me. He's there in spirit. Forgive the bad lighting...

Hope y'all are doing well wherever y'all are at!

My Boker which I pronounce Boker and not Boker as some do. 😁

I think this one may come to Spain with me as my little pocket carry, mainly as the blade is perfect for oppening my tablets (sad I know).🤭

When I saw the sign on the lamp I very nearly shouted out "medic".🤣

I had a coffee in a posh hotel today after sneaking into the private residents area, at well over £4 for a coffee I thought I deserved it.

Boker .. is that how you say it 😆
The Castle Wood Barlow is such a great knife and love the history especially with the covers made out of that old castle they are renovating!!
Love mine I think it’s #112 of 1133 made 👍🏻
