Bonus points for deciphering my sons story 🙂

The wildebeest is eating the green grass out of the dirt.and the rude bird is to loud and scares it.im hoping my limited education helped me here.
That makes a lot more sense. I thought the he wrote a story about a sheepsfoot with wood covers. I've always had a tendency to just look at the pictures.🤦‍♂️

Looks dry, what part of the states are you in mate?

Thumbs down for the pant rippers you’re straining up there. The bane of us agronomists!
I’m in Northern California. It is very dry here this time of year. Basically it stops raining in May and doesn’t start again until October if we’re lucky.

I was stringing the fence back up after the bulls were fighting and blew it up.

9 out of 10 voices I heard in my head said tote a Stag Big'un Lamb Foot on Saturday ... the tenth is just humming ...

Sounds very similar to us in this part of Australia. Hopefully you get a good break.

We’re coming into spring after a very dry winter, most farms haven’t stopped feeding out grain and hay and with things staying dry it’s likely they’ll have to continue doing so until next autumn/winter unless we have summer rain.

We ran beef shorthorns growing up, neighbours had charolais. Barb and a hot wire on each side and they’d still get through 🙄

Last night while watching TV, reading something on the laptop, eating a slice of pizza and sipping a beer, I managed to spill the beer across my current table pile  Perhaps it was one too many tasks in the multi 😬
Dried them the best I could and blew them out with air-in-a-can, and let them dry overnight in the dish rack. Re-oiling them this morning. The Vic Cadet is going with me for Friday pool.
I hope their first taste of beer, was good beer.
If any feel disrespected from getting a beer bath, I am sure members here would take them in.
My luck is, the beer would have ended up in the laptop, I would have jumped up while putting my hand down on the blades. Not only would a shopping trip for a new laptop be required, but also a visit to the ER for stitches would be on the agenda

Beautiful, who’s the maker?

I like the bolsters, hammered?
The maker is Robert Cecon installed in Laguiole. yes, the bolsters are hammered, XC75 blade, deer antler handle.

Wow that's a work of art,who is the maker.
What a beauty ! 😍

Thank you Oldy Oldy and SteveC SteveC !!!
Only stamp on the tang simply says "Made In Sheffield"
No where does it say England, so I wonder if it was even made for export
I did buy it several years ago from a guy on another large knife forum here in the states
He sells a lot of different Sheffield knives but mostly AW&S
Everything about it says A. Wright & Son to me, but just a guess

Totally unrelated to knives, was watching a show on kelpies in Australia working sheep and next season they are doing one with border collies. I’m hoping they do one with heelers running cattle. I’m a Texas redneck so we’re genetically predisposed to wanting a bunch of dogs.

They’re good dogs and the most common around here, we always had one. When dad sold the farm couple years back he gave away his last kelpie to another bloke.
Personally I was always partial to Australian Koolie’s for working dogs and recently nearly picked one up as a pet.

My brother has 9 hunting dogs, so I don’t think we’re too different!
