What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

They’re good dogs and the most common around here, we always had one. When dad sold the farm couple years back he gave away his last kelpie to another bloke.
Personally I was always partial to Australian Koolie’s for working dogs and recently nearly picked one up as a pet.

My brother has 9 hunting dogs, so I don’t think we’re too different!
Haha, new breed for me, I’ll check them out!

Still can't put this one down, always in my pocket. This is an old knife I know but I wish I could find more info. It's a Hibbard Spencer and Bartlett OVB 2030 jack knife, 3 3/8" long. Great walk and talk, both pulls are a 7. The bone is just mesmerizing. I wish I could view the history of this knife the stories of previous owners, but since it's still new looking it could have been sitting around in a drawer, who knows. Love it though and I'm glad it found it's way to me.

Not the same 23. But still a 23.
🙄

Busy week. Glad to hit the weekend finally. Yesterday on my way back from PA I hit an antique store and while none of the knifes were appealing, I picked up this 1922 Elgin for a very fair price that is running keeping time.

Have a great Saturday friends.

When they shut their doors, it was a huge blow to Elgin, Illinois.
Kind of like Camillus and Schrade, I suppose. A lot of highly skilled and highly specialized watchmakers and cutlers suddenly out of work.
