A belated Happy Birthday to your Dad and your Daughter!
Jeff, someone (who shall remain unnamed) said you were "full of beans" and I called that person a liar. Looks like I owe someone (who shall remain unnamed) an apology!
Nice Buck 301, Mike!
Those Navy knives from WWII are splendid, guys!

Cool Stanley razor blade holder, Bart!...
If you’re talking about a utility blade knife, you should get a cool, old Stanley. Much more character than the modern ones and more fun to use because of it.![]()
Interesting Barlow with a splendid blade combo, Jer!![]()

Stamped Bayes by Colonial, I was told. (I can see it's stamped Bayes.)
Going to town soon - post office then the grocery store. No stops to eat. We had to rush "Utah" the Doxie to the vet yesterday afternoon. She developed a golf ball size lump at the site where they performed a biopsy the other day and it bled internally. Now we've got meds to administer to her twice a day. I'll be carrying this Scout Trapper today. Not concerned about breakfast just now.
"Utah" the Doxie the day we brought her home 7-years ago. She was nestled between my arm and the late CoCo.

I hope you can get Utah on the road to recovery ASAP, ED. Looks like she's had soulful eyes her whole life!
The 93 Waynorth lambsfoot for the last 5 months. As of 2:00 PM today, the Waynorth city stock.

Very useful little lockback, Jim!
Preeminent pocket tool chest, Mitch!
Stellar stag spearpoint jack, José!
Pair of black beauties, David!
Knives worthy of an encore, Jeff!![]()
Same knives, but at least I took a fresh photo for you![]()
Terrific trio, FC!![]()
Got dressed this morning, picked out these three to complement a Blue and Peachy-Pink plaid shirt. I thought to myself, "Darn FC, you are so vain!". Then another part of me retorted "Don't talk to yourself that way, it's not nice." And promptly received this response "Stop denying the patently obvious, it's a bad look. After all, Carly Simon did write that song about you."
Sometimes these voices get together and agree on something, like buying a pretty knife.
Whatever you all are doing today, try and enjoy it!
Congrats on the fine gifts, and plaudits to ED for his thoughtful generosity!Number 81 in my pocket today and two beautiful gifts from the most generousModoc ED . The Mustang for me and the Bunny for Mrs. Crappie. Also two Wagon Wheel coffee cups! Thanks a million Ed! I continue to be blown away by the generosity of everyone here on the porch!

Both the RR sowbelly and the RR Leon Redbone canoeHowdy porchsters! I've had this bloodwood Queen LB4 and bone RR stockman in the pockets for about four days now.
Just pulled out another to carry for thrifty Thursday tomorrow, a redbone canoe that I call 'Leon'.

I've found knives to be wonderful souvenirs of places I've traveled, but if you're flying without a checked bag, that gets complicated.Traveled up to Vermont this week, we're close by Canadas border! This is the farthest the Mrs & me have traveled for vacation. Its over 1,000 miles from where we live.
I didn't carry anything Monday due to TSA stinginess... So I picked up this Sodbuster Jr at a local hardware store here in town where we're staying.

P.S. To our northern friends on the porch, We had poutine for the first time here. Definitely an odd dish for us, but it's actually pretty good
Have a good one y'all!
Phew, a CV Sowbelly in red bone is an absolute favorite of mine. I just need to find one

That lovely K'roo lamb must have you jumping for joy, Bob!
Uh-oh, are mask mandates back??...
My fancy state was short, by afternoon the dust was upon me. That's why I need to clean up *sometimes*. I hate drywall sanding. Call somebody else, please!

Gary, tell your imaginary friend I’ll save some methane for himJeff, someone (who shall remain unnamed) said you were "full of beans" and I called that person a liar. Looks like I owe someone (who shall remain unnamed) an apology!![]()
Nice Buck 301, Mike!
I was trying to figure out from the tape case if it was a 301 or 303, then happened to notice that if my cursor was over the photo, I could see your filename for the pic, which included the info "rosewood 301." I have a 303 that belonged to my late father-in-law, and I carry it almost daily now, but it's dymondwood, I think.
What's the galvanized steel behind tape and stockman?
Those Navy knives from WWII are splendid, guys!IMHO, quintessential pocket knife!
Notable, and versatile, pairs, Mitch & Bob & Tyson!
I can sure see why it's a favorite of yours, Harry!
I've often said that it's probably the best-looking open knife I've ever seen (in person or in photos).
Cool Stanley razor blade holder, Bart!
I have one that I think is functionally almost identical to yours, but mine doesn't have that awesome checkered "nameplate", so mine isn't nearly as much fun.
Interesting Barlow with a splendid blade combo, Jer!
I hope you can get Utah on the road to recovery ASAP, ED. Looks like she's had soulful eyes her whole life!
Classic yellow Case sowbelly!
SmokeUse 'em if you've got 'em, men!
Congrats to John and Dan and everyone else that's picked up one of those superb Waynorth Cutlery City Stock models!
Dan, the pair of Charlie's knives you posted are SO well-matched!
Very useful little lockback, Jim!
I have an oriental version with delrin covers that's a favorite lockback of mine, but your USA model with bone covers is WAY better-looking!

I have never eaten ramen noodles. I do remember certain roommates in college who seemingly lived off them, though. This one is for RobPrimble ! I don't have to eat ramen noodles regularly because of my knife-buying habit, but they are tasty occasionally!

Jeff, I've never had to survive on a ramen noodle diet, thankfully!I have never eaten ramen noodles. I do remember certain roommates in college who seemingly lived off them, though.
My knife buying money goes toward guitar parts![]()
It does get complicated traveling, especially by plane & renting vehicles. We had a checked bag I could've put it in & took it with us but I didn't want to take the chance. I felt like a quick stop by the post office was a better option.I've found knives to be wonderful souvenirs of places I've traveled, but if you're flying without a checked bag, that gets complicated.
I heard about poutine here at BF, and have had it a couple of times in a local brewery that specializes in French-style "farmhouse ales" and serves French and French-Canadian food in their restaurant. I though it was great (except for the raw egg on top).

I'm glad your hound is doing better. I've been there more times than I care for, it's always a hard road to deal with. I wish Utah a speedy recovery.
