What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

This right here is one of my biggest pet peeves and one of the reasons why I never leave home without a knife! Why? Why for the love of Pete can't coffee lids come properly punched and ventilated?

On another note, the RNG picked number 11 so I've been carrying this guy. I haven't carried it much because I didn't want to lose the awesome etch, but I decided that I need to honor Charlie and put it to some honest work.

I know. Never thought I would use the reamer much. Used it twice just to ventilate cups today.

OK that's funny Jack :p But a little scary at the same time because it's happened to me before :o Also, thats a gorgeous Canoe .

Thanks Paul, at least I wasn't walking down the road wondering why it was so quiet, as once happened to me when I set my alarm clock wrong as a teenager! :D

Thanks Jack - indeed a pretty useful combo. On the Cadet though the caplifter is a really big plus ;) :D

Just received my Steingass hunter back from Claude Scott, who made this exceptional sheath with elephant inlay. Along with my Hartkopf lockback for today's carry.

Great looking duo Stich - I love the #68 with bail. The peanut is aging beautifully too.

Thanks, that picture is from a day of fishing 6+ months ago, I also really like the bail on this knife, I like bails I know a lot of folks don't, I'm around water often and I like the extra insurance, perhaps I like them also because my first three knives growing up also had bails?

Here are the same two knives today

I've done worse. I took a nap after work and woke up so refreshed I thought it was 6 AM instead of PM. I was driving toward work at 8:00 before I realized it was getting darker rather than lighter!

Today's carry:

LOL! Six or seven years ago, a friend of mine had a big 40th birthday party, which involved several days of drinking. On the second or third day, the girlfriend of a friend of mine said she'd like to buy everybody breakfast. I asked where she thought we'd get breakfast at 8.00pm at night. Despite being awake the whole time, she was absolutely convinced it was 8.00am, as was her boyfriend. It took me half an hour, as it gradually grew darker, to convince them we weren't going to get breakfast! :D

I like the lockback. Is that Thuya burl? I have some Thuya scales on a Ritter Mini Grip, it's a nice wood. I think your's is the only other knife I've seen with it. The fixed blade is great too!

The bottle claims another! I went to a going away party at Pleiku Airbase in the central highlands of Vietnam and woke up at Cam Ranh Bay on the coast. Knife content: I was carrying my Philippine made dagger, much like the pic below scarfed from the net.

To clarify, the going away party was not for me! I evidently continued the party onto the airplane with the honoree.
