I'm likin that one Elliott. Great color, and I like the jigging too...

Thanks, Mike. The color reminds me of the fall foliage which is starting to get pretty nice around here.

Well I put the gec back in the tube. I can't get the damned thing sharp. So it's back to the trusty buck 301 for awhile. I'm thinking about ordering a yellow peanut sometime soon.

Elliott, that Halfrich "Winchester" seems to find its way into your pocket a little more often than some others.
Any jealousy in the camp?

Jeff, I don't actually think it's the case, though it does get it's turn in the pocket for sure. I try to be pretty democratic about the process.

I have a bunch of knives (production and custom) that get carried and I just kind of go by the mood, light or heavy clothing, what the weather is, etc.

Now, when I start matching the scales to my shoes and jacket, then we'll have a problem...;)

:p

I just nabbed a sweet stag Case Congress down at my favorite local drugstore. I love that place. So that little jewel is riding along with my Tribal Spear for a while. One more pattern gets checked off of the list. :D

Im gonna say it every time I see it, I love that knife. Its great looking.

Thanks, Corey. It's a really nice knife in most every respect. The pile side scale doesn't quite match though, so that will detract for some.
(I had been told in advance by the vendor and it didn't really bother me. The difference in bone density can cause the dye to be absorbed very differently.)

I have had more than my share of bad experiences with the Case/Bose Collaborations, two very sub-standard ones actually, and something made me try one more. I have always loved the Norfolk pattern and I finally got a Case/Bose knife of the quality I had hoped for. I decided to take it out for a walk today and all I can say is it sure felt good. It will see more pocket time for sure. More on that in another thread maybe.

Carried my avatar knife, the Mutz canoe, today. Its getting a little food staining on the blade now mostly from the sausage I cut up Tuesday night last week. I finally decided to sharpen it my way and lowered the bevel some and it is scary sharp now. I love that knife.

Elliott,

Thank you for the compliment. I just got it in the mail yesterday and I literally have not been able to stop fondling it. Or how does that phrase around here go.... Coonfingering it!

I love the bone on that Norfolk. I've got an ebony I'm real happy with but I might have to get a brother for it....
