What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

OldMan......yes you answered my question. Thanks for the response. Ive just been trying to talk myself OUT of a 68......both stockman and jack........and so far I have been successful. But each time someone mentions one.....im back on the hunt. As of now, I'm comfortable without a 68. However, I reserve the right to change my mind.

So.......maybe I'll go looking for some 68s now.

I blame each and every one of you on this forum for this sickness!

Jim

Thanks Jim, i made the mistake of watching some Derrek Bohn videos and in one he showed his most carried knife, a #68!! This from a man who sells some of the finest knives you can buy, unfortunately his shipping policy prices them out of my range.
I am with you about the "sickness", just looking at the pictures on this thread has me checking out the sites i buy from, i have two knives inbound at the moment so i must be strong Har Har.
Regards OMR.

That's right my friend, and I think they're all made by out-workers. Eggington bought all the names up in the early 1980's. Through their ownership of the Clark name, they own William Rodgers, and the 'I Cut My Way' mark, too.

I've got this GEC #76 in Mexican Bocote with me today as my twin boys and I spend the day together, waiting on momma to return from her business trip. This blade's certificate was issued on the same day the twins were born (09/05/2012) and it's stamped as number 11 of 25. So in my eyes, it's stamped with dual 1's, 1 for each of my twin boys. I can't help but smile every time I open this blade because it brings me back that wonderful day when these two boys were brought into my life. Everyone enjoy your Sunday!!

Thanks Sam, hope you're having a good Sunday. That's a great-looking Barlow my friend

Fixing to be a beautiful 60 F day, our snowpack is pathetic(hope more snow for March and April), think I might take the Bultaco out this afternoon. These three are with me this morning,

Bob Crowder Outfitter in Sambar stag and mirror polished CPM 154, Paul Long sheath, Chamblin lockback whittler alongside a swayback from John Lloyd, both in Sambar stag.

I absolutely love this knife.
Thank you, Oldrifleman.

Thanks Jack. Yes, I'm having a good weekend, and hope you are too.

Duane - your post gave me a laugh this morning. :) And thanks for fixing my earlier mistake.

R.c.s - that's a handsome looking lambsfoot.

Andi - good to see the '12 forum knife. I hope you're feeling better.

bmorgan7 - That's a great story behind your carry today and I couldn't help but smile as I read it. Seems we have at least a couple things in common: Like you I have a Bocote #76 and also have twin boys. I hope you enjoy your time with your boys today.

Sam - nice photo and knife. The colors on your Barlow match nicely with the glass.

Primble - looks like you're on a 'soup' diet... and I don't blame you. I couldn't help but notice your new signature - if only you knew someone willing to gift you a Rosewood TC... ;):D

sturzi - I really like the #62's and yours is both handsome and unique. If you don't mind, what does GEC call that color/jigging combination?

Kris - three very different knives, but all three are clad in absolutely gorgeous stag. I hope you enjoy your ride this afternoon.

A photo from several weeks ago, but I'm carrying this one today.

Thanks Jack. Yes, I'm having a good weekend, and hope you are too.

That's good to hear Stephen :) I'm having a bit of a lazy day my friend, indulging in reading some Sheffield cutlery history ;) That's another nice carry you have with you today

Thanks Stephen, yours ain't half bad either :).
It's actually not jigged, it is smooth coconut palm wood which has this crazy grain all on its own.
