What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I'm really pleased with the specimen I got thank you Primble.

But then, I'd be really pleased with that old Pill Crusher you gave an outing to. Magnificent end-cap on that one, real mark of quality for sure.

Regards, Will

Here's a couple more of the knives I'm carrying this week: American and Spanish sodbusters.

That's ok Tim, a lot of Harley parts are foreign anyhow....that's why I don't care what people ride. All the HD fanboy's buy into the whole made in USA idea but with the global economy, like I said, HD's are just as much foreign as they are US, trust me, I've stripped my entire bike and seen the parts marked from foreign countries. Plus everything you'll buy in the Harley shops are made in other countries, especially the clothes.

Back to knives though!!! I did see that you went with BRK...be sure to post up some pics and a short review when you get the Adventurer!

And Brett, welcome back Sir!

Aha the HOG ensembles are ridiculous at times. I ride good old Schott leather and red wings.
I will definitely do so. Excited to get it in hand and see what Bark River is all about.

Looking forward to some pics Tim, the Adventurer is a great looking knife.

For me today:

What can I say, all the pocket bark rivers you post up pushed me over the edge so to speak. :D

They go well together Gary

Thanks, Bob! Winning that Sodbuster Jr in your GAW started me on the road to ruin, though!!:eek::p:p Now I have a "thang" for Case chestnut bone CV and for single-bladed, sodbusteresque knives! By the way, your yellow Day's Work sure is a cheerful knife!:thumbup:

Swayback today
...

...I always forget how much I like the jigging on this Case until I pick it up again….
Hope you all have a great one.
Speaking of Case chestnut bone… Shane, I think that pic of your SBJ on the tracks is outstanding!:cool:
I obviously agree with Brett on the gorgeousity of the chestnut bone jigging. :D Is that a CV sowbelly, Brett, like the one Frank has, too, I think? All the cool kids have those, and when I grow up, I'm gonna get one, too! ;);)

...Trapper today
...
VERY appealing Schrade, Dave!:thumbup: What sort of photographic trickery are you using to make it look like that blade is far too long to fold back into that handle??

This stockman helped get this rattle snake skin ready for tanning. I sure do like this knife:)
...
Impressive collection of arrowheads/fixed blades, Ryan! :):thumbup:

...I only had a couple of hour's sleep last night, so feeling pretty rough today. Have to stay in for roofers coming to fix my roof too, so I think I'm going to be stuck in all day. Slipping my WLST in my pocket ...
Sorry to hear you're "running on empty" today, Jack; hope the roofers weren't too hard to deal with. I like your WLST, the Barlow with the Napolean complex! :D:D

...I'm carrying the ebony 77 today and working on waterproofing the sheath on my new custom from Leif Lambertson (Leiflj on here). He was an absolute pleasure to work with and a great guy. Blade is 52100, tapered tang, Bocote scales over orange and black G10 liners with carbon fiber pins. He handmade the leather basket weave sheath as well. I can't wait until hunting season to use it. This knife is very light and thin...which means it came light-saber sharp. Big thanks to Leif!...
Riffing on the most interesting man in the world meme that's been popular here lately: I don't EVER carry a fixed blade, but IF I did, it would be just like Jake's!! That is a GREAT-looking blade, handle, and sheath, sir!:thumbup::thumbup:

Felt like carrying something pretty old today.
...

I can see why you felt like carrying THAT one, Primble! Totally stunning!:thumbup:

...For me today:
...
Superb customized SAK, Tom!! :thumbup::cool:

...In my pocket. I swear I did not call LH to see what he was carrying today.
...
Oh, Oh, OHTAS!!! Those Ohtas are marvelous, guys; his stag is always amazing!:thumbup::thumbup:

GT - Frank is the reason I bought mine. I just kept wanting to try it and glad I did. It is CV and a great little snapper. Not sure I wanna be a cool kid though. They always got me in trouble. :D

Yea, it can get expensive quick lol

My carries for today : To coffee in the morning = Case Smoothe Bone Saddlehorn with scrolled bolsters ( Supposedly one of 300 made ). In the afternoon for working in the yard and garden = 77 Barlow Old Tan which has become my EDC , which I always carry in the shown Slip from Mike , and then my old beater from my nephew , which is one of those tools that you use and abuse and hope it breaks so that you can replace it but never does . Its one of those brands that I do not even admit that I have , but it is what it is.
