What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Dantone Impressive and epic picture there! An ascent into a glacier has a heroic sound to it . You were well equipped with that knife as it has much character:cool:

For me it's more down to earth (and being in Puukkoland I see enough snow, no glaciers mind...:D) Böker Germany, Whittler in carbon with Apaloosa Bone, very decent quality on these, fine snap - a nice compact three blade traditional.

Thanks, Will

Simply elegant. I like the subtle filework.

Wow folks, I just browsed the past few pages with my mouth open! :D Some great knives and really outstanding shots :)

Sunday here, and I can't resist slipping my Davison in my pocket :)

Will, can't go wrong with a Boker. (speaking of Germans, :D let me know if you hear back from Andi)

Jack, Enjoy your Sunday. Looks good with that beer.

Raining for weeks around here. Flooding in the hill country, but not in town. Time for coffee and a stout, stainless knife.

Today's carry ; Paper under the Case Saddlehorn and 77 Barlow copied from Meako's posting on the " Is this a Barlow " thread

Harry - I really like your Saddlehorn in stag and the stamped bolster. I never saw one of those when they were introduced.

A copperhead and soup bone in my pockets today:

This confused Swiss/American one from the 90's. You never know when you are going to have that MacGyver situation (speaking of 90's). Have a great Memorial Weekend everyone.

Nice stuff guys. this old Schrade red bone whittler or as Schrade called it the Mechanics knife has been taking care of most tasks this weekend.

Great Knife and shot!
Welcome to traditionals as well. I think I just read you just got into them. I could be wrong though. Either way I bet that was a great hike.

Thanks Brett,

Indeed. The traditional path is a way I have not travelled down since I was 8 when I used to collect them. Now if only I could ever find what happened to that 8 year olds collection.:D

To be fair Will I can't give the #71 all the credit... When in heroic mode :D I always carry a small fixed blade as a primary. It makes the journey an even more enjoyable one! That day my set up was this...
It was my Smith and Sons Brave accompanying me as well.
Good looking Boker you have there. Looks like it's seen some quality pocket time.

Thank you Primble. It is one of many Case knives given to me by one of my daughters. Do you see the similarity of the Saddlehorn to one of the Old Barlows. Just needs a long bolster and no end cap. The saddlehorn pattern is my second choice of patterns to own.
Your selection of TC's for today are great. I really like the soup bone.

Harry

I hope all of you are enjoying the weekend. I'm carrying the one on the left this morning.
