What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

My pictures do this one ZERO justice...it is perfect from every perspective I have to evalutate a knife.

GEC 72. All day, everyday.

Jack, I thank you Sir. You and Earl are having some great memories together.:D

Gev, That is a classical beauty of a Barlow my friend :D:D:D

Our wings were clipped by some bad weather today, but I took Earl for a trip round the Yorkshire towns of Harrogate, Knaresborough, and Otley :)

How on earth did I miss that beautiful Barlow?!

Great pic Jake

While some are totin' those fancy new Beer Scout Knives, I've got Ol' Reliable in my pocket.

You're making me thirsty Scott! :D

Great work

Nice to see that one there with you r8shell :)

Lovely pic, two nice knives, but the Chamblin is quite stunning

I managed to get this pic of Earl from the walls of Knaresborough Castle before the rain came :)

Got this in the mail today and into the pocket it goes
The mini trapper is a perfect gentleman size for me at 3 1/2" closed
I love a peanut and this mini trapper is like an over grown one but single blade
It fits my hand and grip MUCH better than a peanut too
No doubt, I'm really going to enjoy this one

I looked at the line on the mark side scale under high magnification and see that it's not a crack. It's not mobile any where either. I don't have enough experience with handle material to know what it is, but it's not a crack. At least not that I can tell ... and not yet Lol

For now I think the line, while I wish it weren't there, just gives it character of natural material. Not beautiful character, but character. And if it ever was a crack, it VERY stable now.

I mean, surely it isn't a crack? This is a new old stock unused knife. Who would put a cracked scale on the mark side? I kinda feel the cutler must have given thought to it and purposely selected this scale for the mark side for what ever reason ... dunno and prolly never will

Thank you so much for your compliment!!! I appreciate it!
...
You're welcome, Gevo; you and your knife certainly deserved it! :)

...That's practically a regiment! :D
Never thought of it that way, Jack! :D I've never thought of myself as "officer material", but, hey, I'm in charge of a regiment!

Thanks Gevo... it is indeed one of the few knives that is gorgeous and brute at the same time! :D
Very apt description of your monster black beauty, choomback!:D

...Thanks GT ! You ought to be prepared for about anything with those three. :)
...
Thanks, Primble. :) I can at least pretend that the knives I enjoy help me make my way through the world more effectively! :p

I hate falling behind in this thread because there's too many knives to compliment! But I did see (in no particular order)
...GT has the Italian Flag of Swiss Knives…
...
Cool observation, Jake!:cool: I'd better make sure they're lined up in the correct order in my pocket to get the full flag effect! :D

That Salamandra is very appealing, R.c.s. (See the photos I post below to see that I'm carrying something very similar this week.)

Time to give the single tool Victorinox Alox a free ride
...
Very nice photo, BroJim!:thumbup: I couldn't stop WATCHing your Alox Solo! ;)

...
I made this leather pouch for my higo yesterday and the evening back.
...
That looks GREAT, A.L.!!:cool: I hope to do something similar this summer if I can just find the time and energy!

My precious Joel Chamblin and a little EO Imperial trinket knife I brought back to life…
...
My pictures do this one ZERO justice...it is perfect from every perspective I have to evalutate a knife.
Joe, your precious perfect pearl pen is totally astounding!!:eek::thumbup::thumbup: (I have to confess that I have a soft spot in my heart for old Imperials, though - it also looks great to me.:D)

Quick snap of the boy's knife again before doing a moving day
...
Superb pic, Tim!! :thumbup::thumbup:

GEC #73 with ebony covers.
...
Splendid knife, Andi; I really like the blade stamp on those 73s!:cool:

Got this in the mail today and into the pocket it goes
The mini trapper is a perfect gentleman size for me at 3 1/2" closed...
VERY nice acquisition, Jim; that's gorgeous!:thumbup::cool:

Among the knives I'm carrying this week are a Cudeman from Spain and a Holub electrician that I need to give some TLC.
