What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Carried the smooth white bone RR Little Barlow today. Smaller than I usually carry, but these are handy little knives, and it they take up no room in your pocket.

I actually bought the white bone because I got the idea in my head that I was going to try my hand at scrimshaw. I wanted to do an image of a bear on the mark side and the words "Uncle Bear" on the other (my niece can't say "Barrett" and can only manage "Bear," so I'm Uncle Bear). After making a few preliminary scratches on the pile side, I decided I wasn't quite ready for scrimshaw. Fortunately you can't really even tell that I started anything (the pile side has more dark specs than the mark side shown here, and I didn't get very far before deciding I really didn't know what I was doing). I may just have to get my Uncle Bear knife done by someone who actually knows how to do scrimshaw well.

Beautiful knife, I've always had a thing for those shields. Is that a 48 diamond jack? The only diamond jack I was aware of was the 15.

Thank you sir :) Yes, a 48, one of Charlie's great SFO's, and a in this case, a gift from him :) Really nicely made, and I think GEC did an excellent job of the shields on these

Just picked this beauty up from the post this am...and into my pocket it went! This is a scaled down Jess Horn pocket fighter lockback that Joel Chamblin just finished up for me. I'll do a write up on this one later, as it certainly deserves it.

It would take a knife as beautiful as that one to get me to stop staring that that Bronco. I've wanted one of those (the Bronco) since i was a little kid. Love it (that was for both of them :D)

The good Dr. was too big for my coin pocket today, so I went back to the tradesman. (I'm trying something new with the picture hosting, please let me know if it doesn't show)

Today I'm carryin' this beat up old Precise Deerslayer Classic with brass liners and hardware. These were made in Japan in the late 70s-80s and if you look at it closely you'll see that it looks very similar in construction to the Gerber International Silver Knight series made in Seki Japan.

This was at the bottom of the $5 box it was dirty, tarnished, covered in paint to the point that the blade didn't close all the way and sat proud by about a 1/4". (I need to start takin' before pics when I get these knives that need help".

Reminds me of what a work knife felt like ;). What would you call it, Modified Lockback Asian Sodbuster? ;) It's a little smaller than a large Sodbuster but certainly a handful.

Great knives everyone! Does anyone else get a "photo not found" icon for some of the pictures? Or is that just a function of me reading the thread on a smartphone?

Can you quote one of the pictures you get that message for? If it's a recent picture it's probably a hosting issue, if you're diving deep into the thread, folks may have deleted their pictures to reuse the space.

I use Tapatalk when I'm out and about and I don't usually have a problem seeing them. I know that on some of the long running/older posts that the images were probably deleted from the hosting site, such as Photobucket etc.
