Traveling today so no knife. Looking forward to being reunited with my collection, been about a year. Think the Oeser, 55 and a gift from a friend will all be In my pockets later.

^^Great photo! Top drawer knife, Dan, and a looks like a great user.

Little bit of winter up there? We're a mite warmer and have had nothing horrendous here yet.

Jeff, will you be back in Arkansas? If so Todd and I are getting together for a cold beer and calzones Monday evening. It would be great if you could join us again.

Chris

It is! The first three, in fact. I've got some Tarzan and Pellucidar on my shelf, waiting for their turn in the sun, but thus far the Mars books are the only Burroughs I've read.
...
Thanks for the confirmation, Dadpool. :) I hope John Carter can take you on some stimulating Martian adventures!

Lol, thanks GT, that cracked me up :). Nice Green on your Farmer, very festive and a fantastic pic .

Edit: Hey, 2K ............ Time for a give-away! (Sorry for the bad rhyme :D)
Thanks, Tom; I especially appreciate your comment about the quality of my photo. :) I like that pic of the Farmer, but I can't really take much pride in it until I start consistently getting that kind of result. Right now, I can do that about 1 out of every 100 photos. :o
Congrats on the 2000 posts!:thumbup: Sweet black/white combo you displayed later in this thread; your Russell scout is fabulous!

Thanks GT! The black one is a Pioneer and the silver is a Farmer. I'm not sure what the color is called but now that you mention it butterscotch is fitting. It's a mid-90's Case. The shield is what got me. I've not seen that on a Case before.
Thanks for the follow-up, Bill. :)

Holy multi quote batman! Thanks for the compliment. I find the secret is a steady camera (phone). I rest mine atop my water bottle (a keen kanteen), which puts it at a nice height and tips it slightly up.
LOL :D:D Thanks for the photo tip, Sean! I have my wife's pointnshoot Canon set for a 2-second delay on the shutter to help me keep the camera a bit more steady.

Nice photo, Jim! Do you still use that Lansky to maintain your edges?

...Thanks GT, both were gifts from generous forum members, PMEW and r8shell :) THat's a smashing selection of knives you're carrying this week, the Taramundi is always a treat to see

Carrying two old friends today

Thanks, Jack. :) ("Smashing" is a word I'm going to try to use appropriately now and then, even though it's not native to the American Midwest. :p)
Jack, your photos are amazing today; the background of trees and lake in the sodbuster pic and the light, trees, and shadow in the 2nd pic are both outstanding, in my amateur opinion! Where was the sodbuster photo taken?

That's a sweet penknife, Mike; buffalo horn?

Northwoods IRJ

How can you ever leave that one home, Erik??:thumbup:

...It's 3.5 inches closed and is a great little knife. Nice hard snaps and the blade shape lends itself well to food prep. Thanks so much for the compliment on my picture as well.
Thanks for the details, Gev. :)

I went with a Cuban today.

Great knives all.

VERY nice, Ken; I'm a sucker for equal-end patterns these days!

...Great line up GT
Really like the subtle wood pattern on that Tarmundi!

Also reminds me I need to order a few SAK Farmers for upcoming gifts! :D
Thanks, Dan. :)

At the hospital with my 1 year old who has bronchitis, so I'm toting my go to worry stone.
...
Hope your little one gets healthy again soon, Sean.

...Huckleberry in ebony for me today.

Fine shot of a classic knife, Dean!

That's impressive to this old man, Ben!:thumbup:

OD Canvas Soddie today.

Excellent photo, Dan, but I'm going to pretend to ignore shots featuring snow for as long as I can.

Jeff, will you be back in Arkansas? If so Todd and I are getting together for a cold beer and calzones Monday evening. It would be great if you could join us again.

Very cool, Chris! :thumbup::cool:

Mike, you had me going there for a minute as I was scrolling way too fast trying to catch up to everyone's splendid carries. I thought you had done a MAJOR mod to a 2015 Forum knife!! Looks GREAT, by the way!

Hehe... Thanks :) That's partly why I ordered it - To get used to the size and shape, as it's the same serpentine shape as the Forum Knife.

That's a sweet penknife, Mike; buffalo horn?

Thanks again. Yup. Feathered buffalo horn. My first experience with horn of any kind, and I'm really liking it so far.

That stockman of yours looks well used. I'm really warming to the stockman patterns lately.

It's been too long since I carried this Queen Copperhead in (old version) ACSB and D2, so into my pocket it goes. Single-blade simplicity and thinness.

That is a great looking copperlock!

Northwoods IRJ

You set the bar high with all your beautifully captured beautiful knives! That is a great pic.

This one has been a near constant companion for several months now. It's just a really sweet knife and I've really bonded with it.

I love the character on that one.

At the hospital with my 1 year old who has bronchitis, so I'm toting my go to worry stone.

I hope everything turned out well at the hospital.
That is some great stay on that '14.

I love seeing how that one ages. I blame you for the desire to pick something up in osage.
You just can't beat a handle that ages with carbon steel.

OD Canvas Soddie today.

That is one of the nicest bull busters that I have seen!
(above comment is applicable here too)

Here is my lazy pocket dump picture.
