Case Sowbelly

Congrats on the new Winchester scout, Tom; looks like an excellent find! Are the covers "french ivory", or just some kind of yellow celluloid, or what?

Hey GT - yep, french ivory :). It isn't perfect, there are some small gaps and the previous owner was a novice sharpener to say the least, but nothing I can't easily correct. It has good springs all around and a stout caplifter. It is my first Winchester and my only white scout, overall I am really happy with it. Have we seen the Whittlin' Buddy before? That is a cool knife sir

For me today:

I'm really enjoying the Turkish clip on this little Schrade Walden I stumbled on Saturday. And, it took a scary edge very fast. Man, I miss Schrade.

Thanks Mr P, two beautiful choices

You must have read my mind, Gev. I was sitting here staring at that same photo for quite a few minutes wishing that Case could find at least a little bit of that magic formula for dyeing bone that they used to have. The new ones just don't have the same richness and depth of color.

I don't post much in here because it's been 3 years with the same knife in my pocket. I may change for a day or two every Couple of months but I always come back

It has everything for me the main clip is the length of the peanut's main, the secondary pen is for abusive tasks and the little clip is my preferred whittling shape.
The only con is the thickness of the main, but it's intrinsic to the whittler construction
