What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

The proportions on that Davidson look spot on to me. Nicely executed! There's also something about that style of shield that perfectly complements the deeply-jigged bone handles. Congrats on a nice acquisition!

Norfolk with me today. I really like this knife!

I'm ashamed to admit I had no traditional knife with me at all today, I sat inside in sweats with a clipped blade :( but maybe it's not too late to redeem myself and the day I need to do some fingernail maintenance this'll work.

I won't repeat all the pictures but there's some excellent knives being shown over the last day!

I made a promise to throw this one right into the pocket. It's gonna go with me for the next couple of days for sure!! Todd nailed another of my visions spot on. Very talented man to work with. 3-3/4" closed

Excellent Jake !!!!!!!!!

With all the Barlow's being shown I been inspired to carry a GEC 25 along with a Case Half Whittler today.

We have a snowstorm rolling in so it looks like a snow blower day tomorrow.

Have a good one everyone.

Oooh. What a lovely #25, stamped blade and all.

We are due for more snow as well; with my previously in-home labor force now dispersed, my basic strategy is to remain on good terms with neighbors with snowblowers. ;)

Jake, everything about that Davison is really fantastic. Like others mentioned, the deep jigging and shield. What really grabbed my attention was the deeply fluted and pinched bolsters.:cool:

Super beauty, Jake! I would not guess it was a Davison if I could not see the tang stamp and that a compliment to his skill!!!!

Excellent Jake !!!!!!!!!

Lovin' the deep jigging on that Davison, Jake!

Thank you all!

Thanks TsarBomba, it's a beautiful piece Mike made. I'm glad to see that Case is getting some honest tip use :D

Hope you stayed warm Ken, didn't snow too much but it was still a 'storm' for MA
Great looking 25, really like the font they used for the lettering on that blade etch or stamp :)

Nice plan my friend ;) Great-looking Trapper too

Another week, another storm :grumpy: I've got these two with me today :)

Fine looking sawcut on the 25 Jack
I wish that Dowell was mine xD It was just a photo I showed GT for reference on what an acid wash looked like.

Stunning pictures Tim. That Dowell just looks as if it just belongs there.

Too busy enjoying the outsoors to snap a picture so recycling this one of my trusty Cadet which accompanied me all day.

Haha I have those days too, have you seen their alox offering of a pioneer now with...scissors :D :D .. at least I think it was called a pioneer
Thank you, it snowed today and Rémy and I walked around to the usual spot again, this time with just my trusty Opinel.

Thanks Gevonovich :D

So many OTs lately! Looks like yours has treated blades, if I'm not seeing things, and it looks great! Any pics with it unfolded? :D

Thanks TsarBomba. I'm working on one.

There is always room for more Barlows. :o

Today I decided to carry a Burgundy Presidential and a favorite TC Barlow.

Probably my favorite of all the TC scales I've seen. Interesting coin, too. :)

Carrying 3 today that have become Safe Queens. Pretty dreary outside , so pictures were taken inside today
An Iron Horse with some scrimshaw from 2013
A Case Russlock from 2007
A small Case 2 5/8 " long from 1940 / 1964]

I understand why the little Case would be a safe queen. :o How did they manage to pull of those scales on the Russlock? That is such a great look for that knife!

Classic (and classy) knife! Todd appears to be some sort of miracle worker shaman-cutler. ;)

I got this one on the exchange. :) Straight from the mail to the pocket it goes! 73 Tidioute OD Linen Micarta :D

Awesome pickup!

Norfolk with me today. I really like this knife!

A favorite, it seems! :D

Tidioute #25 with dyed camel bone

Love the way the color came out. It's almost like an appy Case, and I'm a sucker for those.

Thank you for the kind comments on my carries. :)

Just as long as you realize a lot of them are steeped in envy. :p

That half sure is getting some patina. :o The one thing about such a big stockman is that there's an awful lot of acreage on that master blade. I am going to start using it exclusively for a while to see if I can spread some patina out. It's already sitting on the table waiting to be pocketed. :)

An alox SAK with scissors would instantly get me back into the Vic game. My Cybertool Lite is already over ten years old and while it serves dutifully nearly every day it's sometimes too much multitool for the situation. Plus that alox just look dashing!

One of the best photos an Opi has ever taken, and then DOGE!!![/B] :D :D :D

Thanks, Jack. Your sawcut watch pocket Barlow seems to be a frequent companion these days; justifiably so as its a looker!

Thanks Dean  Yes, I like it a lot, it's a good EDC size for me

Spectacular Jake

Been a few days since I have been able to post. Wonderful carries everyone! This one has managed to stay for several days in a row. Love to CF the rivers in the soup : )
