What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Nice knives today everyone! :) I had a Double Dose of Black Micarta today!:D

Very nice pair Ron :)

After 20 days with Lizard Skin, I decided to dress up my pocket at work today with a knife I haven't carried in a very long time.

The half congress 2013 BF knife is a real looker. Love the very few models that GEC did fluted bolsters on.

Carried the 2012 PPP TC which opened up the box to welcome the new addition to the fold.

Stunning Primble Mr P

LOL! :D Strangely the sun came out later! My house is south-facing, so all the snow melted on my side of the street, but not on the other. I was explaining this to a young waitress later in the day, and when I told her we got the sun on one side of the street, but not the other, she wittily remarked "You must live where the rainbows are." :D

Early start for me tomorrow, but I'm going to be carrying these two :)

Thank you Mr. Jack. I know a waitress just like that !!!:thumbup::D:D:D

That is a fine selection for tomorrow and the Johnson knife you carried today I like it a lot !:)

A beauty by Reese Tim !!!:)

Ron, how are you liking the Patriot? Wonderful looking duo

Today was my first day with it. I carried it in the factory sheath in my right front pocket. I need to get hooked up on a good pocket sheath. The Patriot is almost to small for me, but there is something that just makes me like it. Time will tell.

Very nice pair Ron :)

Primble is killing it again!

Here's mine, been carrying this one often of late...

As promised for a few inquires...closed profile.

Very nice pictures, and Thank You, as I believe I was one of the request for a closed shot. I wish I had the ability to take good pictures as you and others here do. I have the donor needed to do the same modification as you did on your 15. I'm comfortable in tapering from the front of the long pull to the point, but am still studying on how to continue the swedge.

Great pictures today everyone,
Rick

...
I thought of you when I picked up the canoe I carried yesterday, GT. Is that Imperial one of the Taylor-made knives? It looks pretty tight, almost regal really. Did you brush the bolsters or did they come finished like that?

I hope you’ve got that stockman and the barehead Keen Kutter with you for WW today. :D Great stuff!
...
I passed out almost immediately upon arrival home yesterday so I didn’t post the rather hurried photo of Tuesday’s carry -- it was a brutal day. The green canoe is (surprisingly) a Rough Rider, went from the mail on Monday night to the pocket on Tuesday morning.

...

Tsar, congrats on the RR canoe; should have known you'd go for green!!:D Is that a full-sized canoe, or one of RR's mini-canoes?
My Imperial canoe is a Chinese Taylor-made version, and I'm very pleased with its fit and finish; the brushed bolsters are stock from the factory.

I definitely had the Ganzo stockman and the ebony Keen Kutter with me today; all of my knives for the week get carried simultaneously ALL week! But I don't intentionally observe Wooden Wednesday; it just happens that if I have a dozen knives on me, frequently at least one will have wooden handles! I happen to have another wood-handled knife I'm carrying today and this week, so I guess I'm even more welcome in the "Church of Wooden Wednesday"! :p This Joker is my Euro knife for the week:

Start removing material. Go very slow. :)

I am kicked back and doing some catching up on somethings I missed earlier.:)

Great looking Camillus!

Thank you sir.:)

That's a nice one Primble, actually may be my favorite of your Primble's that I have seen.

Love seeing that knife, the smooth old bone is both elegant and full of character. I only hope that when I eventually stumble across an old Camillus Barlow it looks half as good as yours...

I appreciate the kind words.:)

Ebony and African Blackwood for me on this wooden Wednesday.

Dean you have quite a classy duo there today.

That looks like a wonderful pair, Ron! I have always admired the Patriot as well! Let us know how you like it after some use

Gevonovich, that is a beautiful old Ulster you have today. Thanks for the compliment and I will keep you up to speed on my Patriotic journey. :D

Beer Scout, flashlight and 1 oz silver coin today from my brother from another mother - Paul Hilborn Time heals brother, hang in there. :)

Made my Day my brother!!! A vintage Ulster Stockman arrived today although to late for pictures. Will work on posting pictures tomorrow:thumbup:

Wonderful carries and pictures today everyone:thumbup:

Tim, that coffin jack has got me drooling. That is one stunning knife!

I've carried this pair for about two weeks straight. I think I'll give the presidential some much needed pocket time tomorrow.

**grumble* Another amber bone Case I’m going to have to add to the family.**Nice Russlock, Mitch!*

Thanks; Tsar! I've contemplated a RR, and it seems most folks speak positive of them, for what they are. May give one a go.

The last coupla days, I've taken the Farmer's Jack out of the pocket slip where it usually lives with a small fixed blade (Patriot), and dropped it into my right front pocket nekkid. Hard-pressed, I've found myself wanting it near-er somehow.

FullSizeRender.jpg~original

When asked, I identified this Farmer's Jack as my knife of 2015; I'd be shocked if its smaller blue companion here, received in early December '15, doesn't maintain its instant reign throughout all of 2016.

Not that I've put down the Farmer's Jack, yet.

That's good of you Sarah. You can't have a knife looking pristine from being carried in a slip with a blade looking nice and used like that. It's all about balance! A few small marks on the bolsters, some marks on the shield, changing color of the bone, etc. Let it breath!
