Found on my doorstep yesterday when back home an orange bone humpback
I knew Santa is living somewhere in Finland, but it seems the Bells also come from there too... Thanks again Will, a nice surprise!

I like this picture... is that a 1 of 3 (or some very low production number) 25 in frontier bone?
Thanks Gevonovich. It's a joy to carry and use.Its hard to take my eyes off that...wow!!
Thanks for the additional info, Gev; I think I remember seeing the topographic handles before, now that you mention it....
Gary
Very old photo of the Curtain and Clark. That photo was taken of one of my walks around the lake downtown and specifically at the community garden called Deep Eddy. The handles are a celluloid I call topographicGreat mod on the Opinel. They are such good knives it was hard to kick mine out of my pocket but its always in my pack anyway.

Even I can remember how GECs numbers work, and Im rather drawn to the numerology some BF members use to identify desirable knives with tang stamps (and possibly serial numbers on bolsters) that represent personally-important dates like birthdays, anniversaries, etc. So your single-blade spear barlow caught my eye because the tang stamp number read backwards (and ignoring the year digits) would be 1251, which is my birth month and year....
Thank you for the kind comments, Gary. You are correct on the GEC numbers; they have one of the more logical systems for model, blade(s) and year information on a knife.
It's a pleasure to see your Electrician!
Sweet pair of knives, Randy!Couldn't make up my mind this morning so I grabbed this GEC stag #25EO and this S&M Winterbottom Barlow #69 A couple of bare heads just like me.

Isnt it strange how you pay no attention to a certain pattern for months/years, and then, for no apparent reason, you become obsessed with that same pattern?Found on my doorstep yesterday when back home an orange bone humpback

Congrats on the new yellow Erickson, Tim, and on the Zulu, for that matter! What a dynamite (even notable...
Here was today's carry in an Erickson Zulu since I knew I had something coming and today's half carry (single blade stockman) by mailcall.
Yellow Westinghouse Micarta makes me happy on a gloomy Monday like this.

Stellar stag, Barrett! :thumbup:I've been carrying the little stag #25 since Saturday. It's definitely helping me get over my aversion to carrying my nicer knives.

SBJ must stand for Superiorly Beauteous Jackknife, right, Dan?
Nice golden Barlow, Jack, and I was glad to see this later unfiltered shot of the machinery on which the original artistic photo was taken; I can even see the exact location of the first shot on the wider shot.
Wow, that Henkels is an attractive stockman, Trand; distinctive jigging!
Thanks for the additional details on your rooting interests and the Russell trapper, Tom. Nice pairing in honor of the Blues today. (Congrats on their already clinching a spot in the playoffs ; the Red Wings playoff string looks to be in serious jeopardy after 24 consecutive years unless one of their goalies heats up!...
Thanks GT! Pretty cool that we share (almost) the same college colors. I cheer for the Chiefs first, the Cardinals IF the Chiefs are eliminated, and was briefly a Bills fan when I was between teams. My Big Red is an AG Russell Cattaraugus Trapper I picked up in the early 90's, the main blade locks and is unlocked by pressing the smaller blade in towards the springs. I like that modded Opinel, looks very handy

Blue, white, and yellow today to represent my beloved St. Louis Blues.
