What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Northwoods Esky and a beer scout the last few days.

Those Eskys are gorgeous guys!
Really like variety of camel bone.

Bark River Ultralight Bushcrafter with full height grind. SBJ riding along as well.

my second attempt at making a pocket slip. This one came out pretty good. A perfect fit for my 77 and Space Pen

I'm still working on making this little yeller nut my own.

v2x8sSm.jpg

It's picked up some scratches and handling marks, including a nice rub on the bottom bolster from where I've been spinning it on my desk. It's an unassuming knife, but Case has the fit and finish dialed in on this one. It's become my worry stone and constant companion.

Green looks so good on a knife. (Well perhaps not my CASE sour apple bone Wharncliffe Trapper, looks like algae!)

Thanks, Will. :)

This one arrived today and it was well worth the wait:thumbup:

THANKS BRAD:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

Very nice sawcut on those handles, Paul. Good pick-up!

Looking good Dean

Thanks, Jack!

I went out with just this 'yote (as TsarBomba calls it) today. Seemed to be enough.

There's not a whole lot that can't be cured with a nice yeller case peanut!

Haven't posted in this thread since Saturday morning, and suddenly I'm 8 pages behind! I guess I'll use my usual coping strategy of limiting my comments to the 2 most notable (IMHO) posts from each page.

Been working away from home for a little over a week and only brought this guy with me. This Case can work...Wow!! :D:thumbup:

That's a very handsome knife, Dan! How did you treat the blades to get such a uniform patina?

George and Echo taking a little break on the porch today:

I love a good action shot, r8shell! :p

In anticipation of a couple of cold beers once I get home from work:D

Exquisite photo of a ravishing Beer Scout, Paul! How long did you have to hunt to find just the right spot in the floorboards? ;) (And it IS a perfect spot!)

...Stag Saturday with Johnny Five and the amorous cranes again, mostly spent indoors with a dodgy back and a Mets ballgame -- though I had plenty of boxes to break down because Amazon decided to send the latest shipment one at a time.

You have an amazing selection of fine gunboats from which to choose, TB!

Carrying these two today

I've said it before and I'm sure I'll continue saying it: I think that's an almost unbeatable pair, Jack! I think I'd recognize either of those knives anywhere. (May I copy the images to put in my knife photos hall of fame? :o)

...
I picked up this Weidmannsheil at an antique store yesterday so I thought I'd give it a carry today.

Ken K.
Congrats on picking up that unique Weidmannshell, Ken!

I decided to carry Number 10 today.

...
I just love an old well worn and well loved sawcut bone Barlow!:D

Dean and Ron, those are just such classy, venerable, feel-good Barlows!! Both are perfect 10s!:thumbup:

Scored this yesterday at a Rib Burnoff. I think I"ll be carrying it for awhile.

OK, I'm breaking my rules, but I couldn't pass up noting this third post from the same page as the Barlows, I think. Doctor, I don't know what that knife is, but it sure is a total knockout!!

Sears Craftsman Utility/Scout knife, notice the lack of punch reamer and the addition of an extra blade. Personally I like this configuration the can opener is very capable of punchin' a hole in leather and the extra blade to me would seem more valuable.

Phenomenal scout knife, Ted! I like that little pen blade; that’s one of my favorite features of the red celidor SAKs, something I really miss on most of the Alox models.

I just received a new Buck 303 in classic black. As with all new knives, it went into my pocket and will likely be my daily carry for a spell till I get the feel of it and know the strengths and weaknesses of the design.

I carried a Camillus-made Buck 303 daily for over a decade as a young man. So this is somewhat of a time warp for my brain. I still have the Camillus 303, but I think I like this new 303 better. Time will tell.
Congrats on the new Buck 303, Frank! That (and/or a 301) is a classic I’m still looking for, preferably a used/unabused model. Looking forward to seeing a review after you’ve put it through its paces.

…Here's me today :) Have a great week everyone

In fairness to you, Jack, you didn’t know you’d be participating in my “2 posts/page beauty contests”, but you do have an unfair advantage as long as you keep carrying that anonymous stag of yours that I can’t take my eyes off!:D

Another lovely Barlow, Atiger! Even thought I don’t actually own many Barlows, I’m apparently a big admirer of the pattern since I keep choosing them as tops posts on the pages on which they occur.

I’m not knowledgeable enough to always recognize your knives, GuestWho, but you sure have some magnificent knives displayed in amazing pics! Congrats on that Northwoods zulu! What cover material is that, and what’s the knife on the right?

Northwoods Esky and a beer scout the last few days.

Jumping Jack Flash!! That is a perfectly pulchritudinous pair, Tom! :p Believe it or not, I think your black Beer Scout is elegant, and that new Northwoods zulu is astounding; congrats!

I thought your first sheath was very functional, jrawk, and this one is both functional AND fashionable!

Northfield 2 blade bullet end jack until I go to work, then back to my 77 barlow.

I’ll probably always be an avid fan of those 2-blade, EO, teardrop jacks. Yours is a real beauty, balor; the jigged bone and shield is outstanding!

As usual, I have 12 or 13 knives on me when I'm wearing pants! Here are some that I'm pocketing this week:

Thanks Gary, actually it's a table top, I hadn't been in our furniture store for a couple weeks as Ive been busy with our deck restoration business. I popped in for a visit and Nanc had brought in this really neat dining room set:thumbup:

Love the Olive wood Joker:cool:
