Giving another Ken a spin.

That is a great looking Maher & Grosh there Jake.
Jake...just looking at the main clip blade, does the long pull actually go through into the Swedge, is this just by someone taking that swedge back, or is it the same on the other side of the spear point? as I remember a thread about this very subject.
That is a lovely looking wee knife...just look at that...its got all the best of everything on it!!...big nice Swedges, long pulls, Ebony, N/S bolsters, and that cool shield....and the name that goes with it all...awesome, man how I wish we had more of those here in N.Z
Real interesting knife my friend

Thank you, Duncan. The long pull does go through the swedge on the clip blade but not the spear blade. I haven't seen the related post but I'd be interested in reading it.

I noticed that the edges of both blades are ground on one side but it is surprisingly sharp. Sharper than many of the edges I've gotten on modern production knives. It has great walk and talk too. I thoroughly enjoyed using it yesterday but I did baby it a bit. I'll be carrying it again today.

Menefee told me that he is making one. I'm looking forward to seeing photos of that knife! I think the stock knife in this advertisement would also be a cool pattern for a custom. Look at the size of that sheepfoot blade!

I cheated, did not carry the ones I posted this morning, when I went to pick them up..

....I was taken by this guy here #48 2010 in cobblestone, my present for my 25th back in september, have two and never really got into carrying and using the second one
sharpened it pretty well (have still to make it better), carried and used it to cut steak (spey)

I admit that it's a kool knife, carries well and to use it it's a joy, love tha handles!!!
the sleek blade has a good geometry actually even being pretty narrow, may have to rise the edge a bit more to make it a real laser, cuts great but gecs can go beyond "great" and go to "sick sharp", have a couple that are really insanely sharp...

hope ya like it

I got this old knife from my grandmother when I was a kid. It's small but comes in quite handy when preparing fruit while hiking.
I can't exactly read what it says and google doesn't help me any further either. Does anyone know what brand of knife this is, when it was made or...
I think it's Europe made (Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany perhaps...) but can't get any further than that.
The text says something like: "LBGS" and underneath that it says "UNGEN" or "LINGEN" and it seems as if there is a reversed C in front of the word as well, it's driving me crazy...

Galeo,
The last word is most definitely SOLINGEN. therefore a German maker, which may be under a guise of a importers stamp...start your search under Solingen makers.

Wow thank's! Now I see it as well. Thank you very much!

edit: seems to be OLBOS Solingen, thank's again!
I'm very happy that I know what it is now...

Blues, always have been a sucker for Case bone and stag. Beautiful knife. Do you ever carry a peanut?

Have to go small today with 3 doctor appointments with wife in Birmingham today, too many signs about the "weapons" we carry where we are going.

Thanks,Jim. Case got that one right for sure.

As for peanuts, I was gifted a nice one (stag & damascus) by our friend Thomason a couple years back but in truth it's gotten little pocket time. (The old image doesn't do this knife justice.)

Finally finished up my ball in cage using nothing but the knife in the picture, which I am carrying today.
