What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

my second attempt at making a pocket slip. This one came out pretty good. A perfect fit for my 77 and Space Pen

You're busy for a few days and there are so many nice knives posted. Well done everyone!!

A spectacular mammoth GestWho101! Great knife Bob.

Thanks for the comment Gary.

Today I went with a couple of small ones. A Northwoods Norfolk Whittler in mammoth and a Vic classic in sterling.

Have a great day all!

Bozack ignore the haters, they're just jealous of your sweet sweet knife. My first thought was that the phone # is really cool! You never see that! In time, it'll be a really cool reminder of obsolete technology and until then it's always nice to have Queen's #. Alternatively, you could listen to the haters and sell it to me!

I'm still working on making this little yeller nut my own.

It's picked up some scratches and handling marks, including a nice rub on the bottom bolster from where I've been spinning it on my desk. It's an unassuming knife, but Case has the fit and finish dialed in on this one. It's become my worry stone and constant companion.

Can't beat that yella del can ya? I've only handled it a couple times on punch-stockman I gave to my cousin but he liked it so much it made a traditional convert outta him!

I was inspired by your excellent photos, Bob. See the end of my post to see the result. :)

Thank you, my friend.

Fantastic photo of a good looking knife! That's some good looking bone on that whittler.

Somebody had to tote the 'yote! That beagle is looker!

Today's carry.

Speaking of handle material I should really own, I really love the look of ebony (or is it Blackwood?). No matter what it's on. Cool pic BTW. Thanks for noticing the deee-licious bone on my Whitt. I'm enamored with this one.

Anyhow, this one here is a little ugly but I sure like to carry it on hot day. It's only 3" and it's super thin.

Wow, that is beautiful. I love the reddish tint of the wood. What type of wood are the covers?

Cocobolo. As cocobolo ages it gets darker and darker. I have some antique knives with cocobolo scales that are so dark that they are easily confused with ebony. The sure way to tell is to get the knife in bright sunlight to see if there is a reddish tint to it, or to look closely at the grain.

Wonderful Osage Travman:thumbup:

Was carrying my 73 and 77 as usual , and then the mail came and I added a 92 to a pocket.

Harry

Great red bone and of course Stag knives Harry:cool:
