Bob & Paul - Thank you gentlemen!Nice Barlow's by you guys also today!
That's a very handsome knife, Dan! How did you treat the blades to get such a uniform patina?
As usual, I have 12 or 13 knives on me when I'm wearing pants! Here are some that I'm pocketing this week:
Ganzo stockman (thanks, Dave)

Very nice Dean. Simple elegance.
Speaking of handle material I should really own, I really love the look of ebony (or is it Blackwood?). No matter what it's on. Cool pic BTW.
Thanks for the additional photo info and the compliment, Paul!...
Thanks Gary, actually it's a table top, I hadn't been in our furniture store for a couple weeks as Ive been busy with our deck restoration business. I popped in for a visit and Nanc had brought in this really neat dining room set:thumbup:
Love the Olive wood Joker![]()
...
Gary - Thank you for the kind words on the Barlow's!Wow, 12 or 13!
You put new meaning to the term, Cargo Pants!
...
That stag bone Rigid looks superb, Doctor! Is that a current model? I occasionally run across dealers selling Rigid knives, and have no data on the quality of the knives. I didn't realize they were US-made.Thanks for the kind words Jack and Gary. It's a Cornwall from the 30's I think. Here's one I haven't shown much of but I carry it all the time.

You're probably right, TB. I have a Buck 373 (Buck Trio), a Chinese version of the 303, I think, and the Ganzo is VERY similar to that 373....
I'm not familiar with Ganzo, but that looks suspiciously like a Buck build. Are you sure you don't have a 303 after all?
...
Thanks, Jack. I couldn't remember the name you'd given to that stag; I knew it wasn't Excalibur, despite how apt that seems to me.
Thanks, Tom.
Thanks jrawk. Thanks GT, love seeing wood handles on a stockman pattern.
...
Thanks for the comments, AR! I have some other ideas up my sleeve as well. Stay tuned![]()
Fantastic pen knife, Ken!
Good wood, TB! I must have missed something; what's the deal with your shoulder??
Hope the kayak fishing was relaxing, Erik; nice 77 Barlow! :thumbup:I'm so glad I finally have some off time to enjoy this beautiful weather!

Princely pen knife, Ernie!
Small, but high-class, Ken!...
Today I went with a couple of small ones. A Northwoods Norfolk Whittler in mammoth and a Vic classic in sterling.

Very distinguished ebony 15s, Dean and Ron and Dan! Splendid photos, gents. Dan, thanks for describing your patina process for that old Case from a couple of days ago, and thanks for the Ganzo comment. Thanks GT
I gave it a hot apple cider vinegar bath to speed up the patina process and a gentle rub with Brassco polish to even it all out.
Super cool Ganzo stockman!
I didn't know they were making traditionals too. I've only seen modern folders from them.
...
Ron... You sir made a great choice.
Ebony TC coming along for the ride today...

Thanks, Jack. I couldn't remember the name you'd given to that stag; I knew it wasn't Excalibur, despite how apt that seems to me.I hope I can remember Abbeydale by thinking of Abbey Road, Downton Abbey, and RoyRogers/DaleEvans; memory is all about the associations!

I'm just a little shocked that the Esky kicked your Barkies out of your pocket.![]()
You are correct, sir. The patina must go on!Thanks for the additional photo info and the compliment, Paul!
Tough to put away the chestnut bone CV SBJr, isn't it, FBC?I've designated other knives for kitchen duty this week, but for some reason, I reached for my Sodbuster to prepare breakfast on Monday, and I keep going back to it for food prep!
More of this week's carry:
an EC Simmons Keen Kutter (thanks, Mark)

Work's been crazy the last few weeks, as we're in the middle of our busy period leading into a slower summer. It took a while, but I caught up on all the pages I was behind on, and as always, some fantastic knives and photos on display!
Going all black micarta today

Thanks Gary. I do love the 25s but wholeheartedly agree that the 26s don't show up near as often as they should. Hmm..., maybe I need to start a new thread. They are a wonderful, stout little knife. Btw, that's a beautiful Canyon Creek Sunfish you have there. I have to admit that I'm a sucker for two blades on a single spring.Fantastic pen knife, Ken!I find that 26 pattern quite fascinating, but the 26 doesn't show up here nearly as often as the 25 for reasons beyond my (limited) comprehension.
