Thanks GT. That opinel is looking great.
Good luck on the blade reshaping.

I see I'm not the only one who tried all day to make a post ending with an insane amount of duplicate posts.

An old favorite for now.

This one has ridden the farthest and worked the hardest out of every GEC that I have. Slicing tomatoes for sandwichs on the back of a hay wagon, stringing miles of tomatoes stakes, opening up deer and quartering them away, wrapping paper on Christmas morning... Lots of memories.

Thanks ADEE, nice Sheepsfoot, and it's good to see you post

What a great picture. The colouring (and the knife ) are stunning.
Mine for today.

Thanks, donn. Do you happen to have a shot of that Joker open? It looks like a beaut.

Thanks, Shawn. :) Did you peel a lot of oranges on your shift? ;) How do you like the Buck 55? I can't see myself ever carrying the iconic 110, but its "baby brother" 55 has some appeal for me.

- GT

You know what they say: "An orange a day, keeps the doctor away!" Wait- that's not right. :p

The Buck 55 continues to out kick its coverage, so to speak. It disappears in the pocket but is capable of doing anything and everything. It is Peanut-esque in its utility-to-size ratio. It continually boots prettier/more expensive/"tougher" knives out of my pocket. I bought it to be a forever knife that gets passed down to my children and their's, and I have no doubt that this son of a gun will outlive us all. I recommend one to all. The size is perfect. In fact, it's glued to my pocket now as my wife is expecting any day. I will have this knife on me when our first arrives.

Thanks for the Barlow compliment, Dean. :) Good wood for a Wednesday! I consider myself to be a multi-blade fan, but some of your single spear and spey TCs have me almost persuaded to convert!

- GT

Thanks, Gary. I have some multi-blades, notably almost 30 stock knives of different styles and sizes. Look below for my other passion.

Another world-class TC.

Thank you!

Thanks Dean, me too :) I should have taken a pic really - I came back home with a lot more! :D I had my Anniversary Charlow with me, nice to see yours my friend :)

I had a good visit to Arthur Wright & Son yesterday. John Maleham, the gaffer there, very kindly showed me around, and I came back with a number of nice knives, including this Lambsfoot in a special grade of buffalo. Fit and finish are superb :)

Thanks, Jack. Another nice Lambsfoot! Heavy work carrying all those knives.

Today's carry is my newest addition, a Calf Roper Slim, Northfield 66, which I got from jone on the exchange. The latest in my single spring pen knives.

I wanted to post this (in my pocket for 2 days) yesterday but the site was down. First damascus for me!

Thanks Dean, I'm glad I didn't put my back out again!

Nice Jeff, congratulations

We had such a wet winter here that it really curtailed my hiking activities. The weather still isn’t great, but Spring seems to be here at last! Heading out for a walk early tomorrow, and just getting my bits and pieces together. I have these three set aside. Have a great weekend everyone

The Olsen and the Case. The Buck is just a little too small in the hand.
I may have to get the Case 3318 in stainless; it's grown on me a lot.

Graduation is today

Tyler

Congratulations Tyler! How are you going to celebrate?

Well we have arrived at the in-laws in the rolling hills of County Down. Claire reunited our son with his maternal grandparents while I walked the dog who had to endure another full day of car travel again. Hay bailing going on in the background.
