Carrying this one again today, and probably for a good long time. T.Bose 3.5" Serpentine trapper in black linen and D2.

Great pattern, aint it Jake? That K.Hampton is a beauty!

What a superb, meaningful trio, Dean! Be careful: 3 knives today can easily lead to a dozen next week! ;)

I understand and it will not be happening this summer; when winter comes though - watch out!

Nice knife. It looks very pocketable.

Happy Father's Day to all the dads, and have a great Sunday everyone

Very attractive Wostenholm pen, Jack. After my Wostenholm Barlow purchase I'm starting to see Wostenholms everywhere!

More Father's Day sap...

What a super photo, Mike!:thumbup:

A couple favorites for this fine Father's Day.

GT Thanks for your comment. It's too late now, but earlier in the year before leaf-form, people often tap Birches to collect the sap as it's allegedly health giving. Must be done early otherwise the sap is unpalatable & bitter.:barf:

Here's the Farmer with more staff of life: my favourite sour dough from the local artisan

Beautiful Farmer, Will. Great looking sourdough, too. Here's mine, with fewer carbs:D:

I chose the maroon micarta regular production, since it was the least expensive version available and I really didn't know if it would be a knife I'd find useful. I finally gave it a try last weekend, and it's been in my pocket all week.

Thank you Rachel. The pattern astounded me, it's really useful and as I've written before, a single-spring knife with a small Hawk or Pruner would be a dream machine for me.

Obviously, around the garden it's super: slicing open fertilizer or seed sacks, harversting veg, slicing twine, taking cuttings. But the Pruner is amazingly good for box cutting, making holes in plastic for bird feeders, getting anything out of plastic prisons (shell, bubble type packaging) and for opening up fruits like apples or oranges. I like that Tidioute of yours and if I wasn't so hard up for cash just now I'd get a jigged wood one with Beaver Tail shield, they look rustic.

Green beans of any type get gorged by me, I planted some rows last week so hope to crop in September all being well, delicious and tasty.

Regards, Will

Remind me never to play poker with you since you're not afraid to call someone's bluff! ;) Here's a shot of my knife-related pocket contents from this week:

As for dinner, this week it's been mostly salad: romaine lettuce, traffic signal peppers (red, yellow, green), carrots, broccoli, apple, grapes, celery, peanuts, and maybe shredded cheese, with either garlic ranch dressing or just cold pork&beans for dressing!

This weekend I'm carrying more knives that arrived in my recent buying splurge.
Christmas is only 6 months and 1 week away; are you ready? I am, with a massive Rough Rider holiday canoe:

Halloween is only 4 months and 2 weeks away, but I've got a Black Cat ready for that:

That's not the only animal added to my knifish menagerie; I have a new Kudu and a pack of hounds:

If you stay ready, you don't have to get ready. ;)

And you my friend are prepared as they come.

Thank you Jack . I like a decent loaf too, rather too much as it doesn't like me..... that's greed for you :D Fresh from the baker, thick slices with lightly salted butter (margarine is a disorder) or a day or two old as toast, mmmhhhhh:thumbup:

The Farmer's Pruner blade is not at all bad for slicing salami and getting that troublesome skin off it to go with the bread too. That and some good cheese, fruits and a glass or so of wine. I don't need more:cool:

Delicious Will, you've just inspired me to cut a couple of slices from a loaf I bought from a lovely Italian lady yesterday, spread it with pate, and open a beer! :)

The A. G. Russell Rancher is my latest one and only always and everywhere be-all and end-all. With my magic mojo sunbeam knife.

Great knives everyone!

My dad passed away 4 years ago so for Fathers Day I carried these two of his knives. I miss him a lot!!

A Vic classic and a Ruko fixed blade. The Ruko was his hunting knife that he let me use when I was much younger. Good memories!
I thought the knife was lost but I found it in a drawer a few weeks ago. The stains on it are from trimming the bottom of Christmas trees so they could absorb more water. I will keep it in the same condition it is now.

Appreciate them while you have them!

Happy Fathers Day all.
