What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I'm off to sunny Huddersfield in the morning to see ADEE. Going to have a load of recent acquisitions in my bag, and these two in my pockets :)

(Background is (top) the goit - or millrace - of the oldest wheel in Sheffield, originally the Town Corn Mill, later a cutler's wheel, and (below), the goit of Thwaites Mill near Leeds, which was using commercial water-power until 1983, and operates today as a working museum.)

Have a great day with Adee Jack, love the background for your pictures and the explanation of them:thumbup::cool:

Nice Buck, flatblackcapo.

That PATINA!

I had todd make this one specially to carry at my wedding, gave him no rules. He really nailed it. I've been staring at it for 3 weeks (I wasn't carrying until wedding). Now that's done (Saturday) and I can carry it some.

GEC Electrician with Knife Brite scales. The screwdriver/saw does a great job on household screws.

Having a hard time deciding what to carry today

I think I'm going to go with the peanut
The three on the right are kissing the limit weight for suit pants comfortable carry
Taramundis on the other side of the scale

That is a Perfect knife, and congratulations on your marriage!

I did some tweaking to remove the jump between bolsters and scales on my powderhorn and I have been carrying it again! Very underrated knife I think.

I also rounded the tangs on the blades so that they would not feel so sharp to your hand, and lowered the tip on the main blade so that it nests in to the handle better. It is pleasure to my hand now!

edit: and I must say that some sanding made miracles, as it smoothed out the ebony for very pleasant grip!

Wow, that's a hard choice. The third from the left, is this a Canarian or Majorcan knife?

It's neither of those sorry.
As some of you know Taramundi is actually a little village in the NW is Spain that earned a lot of prestige for the quality of the pocket knives.
Actually all the frontier region between Asturias and Galicia has a lot of blacksmithing tradition and that knife is from Santalla(another village) and it has a more intricate design carved on the handle and then submerged in a shellac to fill the pattern, also the ferrule or bolster is more elaborated than in Taramundi knives, usually file worked.
Sorry the little offtopic
Mateo

Thanks a lot!
Just carried that T-29 pattern by Klein Tools, Chicago, marked F MKlein & Sons Chicago from the 80's or 90's.

Joey, congrats on the wedding weekend bud. Not sure how you held out on carrying that knife prior to the big day though!!

As a Detroit Tiger fan, I find the color combination on your Alox totally beguiling, Captain! I have a black Pioneer, so I'm gonna get some orange Alox!

Grew up a mets fan. Love orange alox. Sent you a pm.

I bought this Queen barlow to give to my nephew as his first knife, but he is still a little too young. I have an interview for a senior manager position with my company today, so I thought I would carry it for good luck.
