What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

The Uncle Henry's from the past couple of days had me looking for mine to carry...along with the snake'd Viper

Steve, I like your Uncle Henry and all the others that have shown up lately, inspired by Bob finding one of his. But your Viper is phenomenal in its thematic unity!!:rolleyes: The name, the snakewood covers, the "rattlers lanyard" make a fantastic all-snake package!

...
today I carried a J H Lloyd and an older Vic Hiker.

Have a good one all!

Ken K.
Mr. Lloyd sure does stag the way I think it ought to be done!! Another couple of winners, Ken!

...
An interesting take on the "10." It is a mystery with the answer locked in the past - makes knife collecting fun. :)
It IS fun to speculate. ;) Are we sure of the orientation? Maybe it's 01 or OI (Otto Incaviglia, for instance). Or maybe it's 10, but expressed in binary to indicate that this knife was the owner's #2 knife, his back-up to his favorite.

Forced myself to put the 14 in the drawer and pull another out. Queen 26 Stockman came out.

You have a pretty magical drawer, Mike! The luck of the draw resulted in an excellent knife; outstanding covers!

I had a big Gala apple with my salad for lunch today. It didn't stand a chance!

This 4 1/8" Camillus trapper. Delrin covers. UFO steel. (unidentified)

Ron and Frank, those are a couple of attractive trappers! I like the looks of trappers, but I don't seem to enjoy carrying them, so I'll just admire from the sidelines. Ron, I had a Gala apple ON my salad for supper last night! :)

Wooden Wednesday

- Paul
Wow, Paul, that is so grainy (in a good way)!

...
These two for me today

As always, a more than serviceable pair for you, Jack! How do you like the smaller Barlow compared to the larger original TCs? Pros and cons of each?

...
May everyone have a great Wooden Wednesday.

Lotta wondrous wood there, Thom! Are there a couple of barrel knives there?

Ebony Wednesday.

Exemplary ebony, Dean! The TC is Thoroughly Covetable, but that spearpoint blade on the 92(?) elicits abundant yearning in this old man!

Something old that is new. I was growing tired of the rotten banana or whatever was on my Norfolk previously, so I took a chance on this amber stag. Oh boy, am I glad I did!

Spectacular, Glenn; amber stag is real eye-candy!!

...
Today I have my new Cattle King in my pocket.

Congrats on the new Queen King, Cory! The covers are sumptuous! The photobucket filename indicates that it's actually bone stag?? Nice!

Thank you for asking, GT. Yes, I did do the Gumball Rally and came home to do the GoldRush Rally, but only did half which stopped in TN. The other rally was in Europe. I've had a really crazy summer. I spend my summers in Germany, and towards the end, it became not a great place to be. I got home with new pups for my kennel and got my son registered in the nick of time for his sophomore year at GT.

Thank you for the compliment on my knife. I named it Melon-y as a play on Melanie; however, that should be PMed to you, JIC of rules (it's not bad but rules are rules). Moreover, I will be making a catch up post as soon as my head is above water. This kennel is cumbersome currently.
...
Thanks for the interesting update, HST. Sounds like you had a busy summer, and it hasn't let up yet! Melon-y is clever! ;)

A couple of sheep in my pockets today:

Twin sheep/clip jigged bone TCs are 2 of a kind good enough to win the pot, Primble!

Great photo of beautiful Barlows, Rob!

Interesting take on the "10" on my Ulster Barlow, GT. It could also be a base six and that would mean it is the owner's sixth knife, or possibly a base 12 and then....

Thank you for your comments on my wooden carries. The spearpoint is a GEC 92 aka Talon and one of my favorite knives. Super light in hand and pocket.

mmm mmm good:D

What a beautiful composition Gev!

Is that your Old School method of giving a knife a wash & brush up? :D Mind it doesn't get washed downstream:eek: Ah well, it would be another nugget from the river

Regards, Will

LOL Will! It need a quick wash. I did clean it up again when i got home. Thank you, Sir!!

Some great knives in that bunch! Love the barrels:eek:

These two for me today

Jack, Great looking TC and that Lamb Foot is stunning. The back ground in the Lamb Foot photo is very very cool.

I had this Old Forge lockback in my pocket for Wooden Wednesday but when I noticed one of my friends trying to open a package with a screwdriver  because he had lost his knife, I gave it to him.

Kris, every time you post the Bose Texas Jack, it just stops me in my tracks. I find myself just staring at it for a while. Love everything about it from the graceful clip, amazing swedges, the jigged bone and coloring are just stunning, and that shield just puts it over the top.

Thanks Bob, it sure is a joy to carry and use. Hope you are feeling well today, my friend.

Kris

Day Seven of the challenge~ Full week with this serpentine jack..now I know what the 'perfect' knife is. Kinda don't want to switch it out now :D

Today it's that Sabre multi function, and a Victorinox pocket pal fresh out of its dusty old package ( that's what you get when a discontinued knife hangs on a rack for 5 yrs )

Ebony Wednesday.

Two fine models the 15 and 92.;)

when I got back this afternoon I wanted something a little darker and turned to this polished smooth diamond shield; it's beautiful

Classy Paul ! :thumbup::)

Gary Try it you'll like it! :D I believe is how the saying goes. The 48 Trapper in its many configurations is a versatile pattern. Slim and easy to pocket. I always love seeing that Stag Sowbelly
