What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Looks good to me Travman!

I feel ashamed to have not carried this one in a while. Bret Dowell 4" Trapper in acid etched A2 and green micarta. Definitely has the firmest and most positive stops of any slipjoint I own, yet the pull is still very manageable.

Welcome back, Greg. January was a pretty sporadic BF month for me, too (not voluntarily). Good-looking Case; a new-to-you whittler?

...

Charismatically curvaceous, Greg!! Ettrick pattern? Who's the maker?

...

Lotta knives in my pockets this week that I haven't posted yet.

Thanks, GT! It's good to see that you're getting some time to spend here, too.

The case is a 6383 from my birth year that I picked up last fall. I've been holding off sharpening it while I play around with potential mods on a much newer model. I think I've just about got it figured out and decided I might as well carry it as-is in the mean time.

The Ettrick is an A. Wright sporting a generic "Made in Sheffield" tang stamp.

I always enjoy seeing your weekly carries and that Klaas canoe particularly caught my eye this time.

Beautiful old Remington, Gev. Warm old bone like that makes me crave caramels.

I've decided to give a small fixed blade a try replacing the modern clipped I usually carry in addition to a traditional in the pocket.

I've rigged a sheath that can hang in the pocket or dangle out if I'm just puttering around the house:

Rachel, Your sheath lanyard idea is brilliant! I'm going copy your idea for a small sheath knife that' I've been wanting to carry.

Great idea r8shell. It gave me a similar idea for one of my hitch and timber slips. Thanks!

Neat sheath with a Finnish flavor! And that fixed blade is a treasure if it's anything like the knife Marko sent me for my Birthday;) That man has a heart as beautiful as his creations :D

Thanks, guys. It's getting a trial run today, but I think it should work well.
And you're right about Marko. His talent is only matched by his kindness.

I admire that Black Box! Fine composition too.

Thanks, Will
Thanks, Will. It pains me to leave it at home because I have to fly to beautiful Colorado but I bet I can find something to help fill the void when I get there.
It is the first time in a lonnnnnnnnng time that I will be with out a knife in my pocket. It feels just plain unnatural.
See you folks when I get back home.

Super Bowl Party means something special so deciding was hard. These three made the cut.

Great group Alan...they are all clip blades, don't you need a good cheese spreader?:p:D

of course I love clip blades also. I don't carry my 72 in natural stag near enough. And a early clip fixie from Mark...I modded this one some.

When I got up this morning I thought about what I wanted to carry today. I decided to drop something in my pocket that had a little RED on it. Just for luck if you catch my drift! I figured it couldn't hurt! ;) Hope everyone has a wonderful Sunday! :D Bob and Paul I am sure we will probably be in touch later today.
