What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

It looks like posting pictures us just something I can no longer do.
My mobile photobucket links won't let me copy them, and now I've signed up for flickr, but it doesn't even give me links to copy like its supposed to.

Anyways I'm carrying my vic tinker, and my imperial h6 with a few modifications.
I've added a swedge to the clip of the blade, and octagonalized the handle.
H&S have you tried uploading image files directly? It's a snap, (literally): take a pic on your phone, adjust to your liking with the photo editor, resize to < 1mb with a resizer app downloaded from your app store, and then upload when you write your post. Sounds complicated but it takes a lot longer to write this than to do it.:thumbsup:

Beautiful knives and photos by everyone today! I had these two ole Red Bones with me today. I can say for sure tomorrow it will be Brown Burlap Micarta!! :D

I thought you have to upload using an image hosting sight if you don't have a payed membership ?

And to think all those trips to Sears as a kid with Dad what I was missing.:(

Aias, that's incredibly thoughtful, and a beautiful knife as well. What sort of steel are files made from typically? I know I've never worn out a file, so must be pretty tough, like D2 or O1?

MTD, a truly stunning work of art!

Dean, does this mean you have secretly acquired Chuck Barris' '60s classic...:p

(Of course, the TC Barlow looks great too.)

Lovely blademan. What is the vintage of your knife?

Woodrow, I agree a hot pan and a good steak make for a great meal. I have converted more than a few to pan-fried meat, but will have to try your hybrid method. Thanks!

As always so many more to drool over today! (Knives, not Woodrow's steak:D). Finishing off 1 week with the CC Barlow. As I had mentioned this steel, which I presume to be 1095, takes on a patina like nobody's business. You can clearly see how much has formed after only 2 meals, with quick cleanups after. Really nice knife, you can also see some of the bone's translucency.

More on this 'fixed blade Lambsfoot' curiosity over in the Guardians of the Lambsfoot thread, if you're interested...

Happy Friday, everyone!
Chin, I'd love to have one those in my stable:thumbsup:

Tyler, it's a starto_O That's one rustic user I'd wager!

Harry, I did indeed. I will post some pics over in the Lounge. Thanks for asking.

Excellent viper! Dig the screen name--I can't help it, I'm Greek.
Thanks man!
The Viper was my first traditional, and the SN is the name of a character from my favorite book (though I am aware of what it means). Gates of Fire by Steven Pressfield
If you haven't read it and your a reader maybe you can pronounce the names better than I can lol my mom had a Greek friend when she was little so I know a few swear words ;):p

Cool, I'll check out the book; yep, I'm a reader... I'm a prof of political thought, fluent in Greek (and know ancient Greek), so I'm good at pronunciation. No worries, say it as you wish--I'm pretty sure it's likely right on the money anyway. And thanks to pics like yours, I'm pretty sure I need a viper!

Yes since Sparky wont implement Tapatalk any longer my thread notifications don't work and pictures are a pain now using photobucket.
So unfortunately it makes my time here a lot less enjoyable.
Since I use to come here for the enjoyment and not frustration my time here now is less and less.
Not very happy with this new format but anyways back to knives lol .
On a side note I've saved a lot of money not being here as much lol .
But with that being said I do miss hanging out with you guys and gals and seeing all these beautiful knives .
