What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Great pair Peregrin, I especially like the look of the fixed blade.
Thanks Tom. It's a really nice little City Knife made by Eldon Talley. He was a protegee of Steve Johnson's and does some fine work.

Carrying this beauty today thanks to the collaboration of two outstanding members..... Mike & Alan. Thanks again, fellas!

Thanks GT, those are three outstanding knives there :) I actually ended up carrying my Abbeydale last week. It's a bit big for trouser pocket carry, and so I usually carry it in a Max Capdebarthes belt sheath. I carry my Stan Shaw Sheepsfoot in an identical sheath, and got them mixed up! So here is my Abbeydale in the Rivelin Valley in Sheffield last week :D

I should carry it again soon, but today I have pocked these two, another A Wright Lambsfoot and a Sleeveboard Penknife by Croisdale of Leeds :) Have a great Sunday everyone ...
Thanks for the comment on my kitchen knives, and for the pic of the Abbeydale, Jack!!:thumbsup: Of course, that's a prestigious lambsfoot/penknife pair you've posted also!

Happy Father's Day to the fathers, and Happy Sunday to the rest of us. :)

Thanks, r8shell. :) Good wood in that pair! Your ebony Esquire always catches my attention!

Have a blessed day! :) Totin a couple from the 70's today. A Delrin clad '79 Eisenhower and a Red Bone '72 Stockman. Both in Tested XX Razor Edge stainless steel. :D

Forever is a LONG time, Alan! ;) Can you put into words the attraction of that 25?

This shadow from Master Smith, Steve Dunn is with me this morning. Elephant ivory and mosaic damascus,

Rosie is going to work with me today.
I can imagine Rosie pretty much gets what she wants! :D:thumbsup::D

Thanks GT. I think you were the first to point out how much variation there is in its looks depending on the light. It's proven to be a fun quality. And, good eyes, I did put on a more acute edge.

Thanks for more insight into your rotation system. I'm glad that it benefits your lovely lambsfoot and allows it an extra week of use.
...
Thanks, Greg. I don't know how good my eyes are, but I've done enough little sketches to convince myself that on a given blade, more acute angles result in wider edge bevels, and your lambsfoot edge bevel seemed significantly wider than mine.

Carrying 2 folders today, kind of rare for me.

Used the Lambsfoot to help make lunch for my girlfriend and myself. Happy Fathers Day to all the dads!
...
A 2-folder day IS rare for you, Tom! Feels pretty good, doesn't it? ;) I think your lambsfoot and mine are identical; congrats! Luscious lunch you whipped up, too!:)

That's such a distinguished-looking whittler, Rachel!! :cool::thumbsup:

Got my dogs head Barlow in my pocket today.

The hot, humid PA Summer is officially here, so I guess I'll oil up my carbon steel blades, put them in the gun safe & start carrying my more rust resistant models, like this one.
...
GT, I do like the depth and texture of the bone on your SB Jr.

My 10 dot Case Appaloosa Barlow today. Scales are unmatched: I like the pile side better.View attachment 722268
Randy, Atiger, Ironbut, and Tom, that's a commendable clutch of Barlows you're collectively carrying today!!:cool::thumbsup: Certainly true for Randy, but IMHO, you're ALL barking with the big dogs today!! ;)
Thanks for the nice compliment on the bone on my SBJr, Tom; I'm quite taken with it as well! :)

So a Joker and a Pioneer walk into a bar together .....

I imagine when that pair walks into a bar, it's a real showstopper, Tom! :p:thumbsup: Another two-folder day??!??:eek: Somebody call a doctor! :D

These two are sitting still because I'm holding a freshly picked rasberry with my lips and they both think they are going to get it.

My "Euro" knife for this week is a gift from my daughter from a while ago. She bought it in the shop of Mariano Zamorano in Toledo, Spain (although it turns out the knife was made by the Nieto company):

Most of the 25's are a little tough to open, but the eo notch helps with that.
The drop point blade is a great size as is the knife overall making it a great carry by itself and especially alongside another, such as a 73 or 99.
And finally, since I got it as a user there was no hesitation to immediately use it.

Thanks, r8shell. :) Good wood in that pair! Your ebony Esquire always catches my attention!

That's such a distinguished-looking whittler, Rachel!! :cool::thumbsup:
Thank you, GT. I intend to stick with this combo all week. At least until the weekend, when I have some messy work to do around the yard & garden.

That's a classy Spanish knife.

Traditional folders and alarm clocks!
High below 80 degrees allows for JP's cool carbon Massoptier queue de poisson.

Pictured with a clock from an estate sale so opulent and classy that this perfectly good and classy alarm clock was in the dollar box.

Got to run into town today to fill CO2 and figure out a system to store 3000lbs of field peas and wheat, without the mice getting in. Our pigs have a pretty natural diet of peas(rotation crop in MT, replaces nitrogen in soil), wheat, forage and veggies from kitchen and garden. Absolutely no soy or corn.

These two are with me today,
