What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

@5K Qs
Thanks for the comments as always Gary. No, the 25 hasn't replaced the 73, but they do make a wonderful pair. In fact they ride in opposite pockets like Bert and Ernie.

That's a graceful, illustrious knife, Frank! Weren't they quite the rage when they first came out?

They were indeed the rage, as new patterns usually are. Especially ones with the Bose touch in the design.
It's a nice pattern with useful blade shapes and excellent fit and finish. And it's unnoticeable in my pocket when I carry it.

Thanks, r8shell. :) Those are some iconic folders you posted! What model is that single-bladed Old Timer? (I aspire to someday be adept enough at sharpening that I could do it while drinking! :D)
It's just a single blade Peanut. I picked it up for a few bucks because I kinda liked the way it was over-sharpened into a mini-lambfoot. Old Timer peanut worn.jpg
As to sharpening while drinking, I'm not saying I get my best results...

Good rhyme! :D I couldn't figure out how to use bi-r8shell or multi-r8shell in my nursery rhyme.
Hmmm... o_O :D

I'm still carrying my 33OT, but at this point it's more about the knife itself than the deltaboy small knife challenge.
I'm still kicking myself for writing this knife off for all those years just because it has some blade play that doesn't hinder it at all.

My, I've fallen quite behind and it's been less than 24 hours since I last checked this thread!

Today it's this old '33-'41 Russell...

Stunning. Just stunning.

Today I spent some time at the local watering hole, sharpening some humble classics.

You're my hero, r8shell. :D

Carrying these two old favourites today :) Have a great Sunday everyone

And favorites they should be! Excellent choices.

I have several examples of Camillus 72s and clones, but this Craftsman 9494 finds its way into my pocket more often than not when I reach for the pattern for daily carry, as it did today:

No it's my trusty Vic Farmer. Usually only my winter walking carry but it was I had to hand whilst rectifying a Halfords screw up of my bike chainset.
There's a thread been started in the Tech Support forum by a member called 'Phaint' who seems to be experiencing similar problems. Just found out I can't do emoticons now either.

Is that a G&T? Cos it's what I taste when I look at that photo!

You betcha. Bombay Saphire and a little tonic. Lime is for the blade use

That's a praiseworthy lambsfoot, FBC! (And I didn't even remember that you had it! :() Does it have a name? Is Rosie jealous? ;)

That's a lot of leg , Gary.:D
Also, those are some great covers on that Peanut
Thank you, that Lambsfoot is new to the collection. I will have to carry Rosie thrice for every one time I carry this new unnamed Lambsfoot just to keep her happy. :D

I'm having terrible trouble posting and acknowledging people's quotes of my posts, so thank you anyway. And the site keeps logging me off permanently after I start to navigate through pages. Is anyone else having this problem?

Anyway hopefully this works.

Hi Tom, The joint is semi-sunk. It's a Small Rounder made by Jerry Halfrich. It's 3 5/8" and a pretty robust knife.

Here's a better picture.

By the way. Nice looking back pocket Case!

Great blade shape on the Halfrich. Zulu spear?

I think it was advertised as a modified wharncliff when I purchased it. A very versatile blade. Very similar to the Zulu Spear blade.

I carried several Case knives today. Trapper, Stockman, Peanut.

Ignore the SAK cadet in the pic, it stayed home today. That's just the only photo I have of the Peanut.

And as usual, I didn't need to use a single one of them for anything.
