What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

This one is a Christmas gift from my neighbor. Each year for the past several years, he goes to our local old-school hardware store and picks a Case knife out of the big floor standing display case as a present for me. I've explained the "coals to Newcastle" adage to him, but he says that he knows that I like and will use the knives that he gives me, so that's what he going to do. This year it's a Tony Bose inspired Sway Back Gent (T.B.61117 SS).

Just let me add. Some French cutlers refer to it as 'abeille' Bee, a honey-maker but other talk about 'mouche' a real fouler :D:eek:

Well, I stated lurking around here in 2014 when I bought my first traditionals off the exchange. My first post in the traditionals forum didn't come until 2.5 years later. Now, I have started selling my modern folding knives. Slowly but surely, this place got me and I couldn't be happier. I have two of my favorites with me today.

-6 F this morning and the birds are hungry. I've never seen a rainbow at this temperature, that I recall. There are very fine ice crystals in the air. Must be a refraction through them. Couldn't get a decent picture though.
Another little Ohta today.

Thanks, Gev! Little knives need some love too!:D
My wife bought me that hat years ago, Lord knows why. It's relegated to snow removal duties. My grandson gets a laugh out of it.

Blonde horn Fontenille-Pataud locking Lag. 9cm. Arrived yesterday, just too late for Christmas...but worth the wait ;)

That's a great looking knife, Will! I've had my eye on those for years. I need to just do it one day soon. The 9 cm is just perfect for the pocket. Great pics!

I’ve been looking into sowbelly stockmans a lot lately and will pull the trigger on one if I can find one in decent bone and carbon blades. That one is gorgeous!
