What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Out in the woods with the dog. Two great companions.

I'll show some Case knives I'm carrying this week.
Humpback stockman (thanks, Mike); is it a cattle knife?
They gave me a case of Case envy, GT. Excellent cattle knife and beautiful chestnuts. Case considers that pattern a cattle knife. I think the riddle is "all stockmen are cattle knives, but not all cattle knives are stockmen." Cattle knives are of the equal end/cigar pattern, whereas most stockmen are serpentine or more figured than the former.

I know I'm likely in the minority, but I LOVE the faux stag on your Remington lockback! ;):thumbsup: Looking forward to seeing the contents of that pile of boxes!
I like the Staghorn, too. I'm still opening boxes, so maybe there's more (?). I know that there's some nice jigged Delrin.

For me, Canoe of the Week is my Rough Rider amber jigged bone; first canoe I ever owned/handled, and for some reason the pattern grabbed me by the heart and won't let go:
That canoe grabs one's attention immediately and doesn't let go. It is a fine looking knife.

- coo-ee...........pray tell, kind sir.....? :)
All gifts and reflections of gifts ;)

The knife is a gift from Kris ( MT Damascus ), which has captivated me on many levels. It's made by Hartkopf with damascus forged by Marcus Balbach of Germany. The scales are Thuya burl. It's action is smooth and the lockback mechanism tight as a drum. It's ergonomics are a dream. It proved itself the other day with some serious work, while on the road:)

- ah, a wonderful selfless example of giving.....and good vibes to always reflect upon :)

Just looked them up.........lovely knives too..!

Since I've decided to carry it for a while, I took a couple new pics of it.
Who could blame you? It is very nice, especially for an EDC. I know that Jim Parker and Parker-Frost took some hits during the earlier halcyon days of knife collecting for flooding the market with "instantly collectible knives" in substantial quantities (and sometimes of problematic pedigree), but I have a good number of the Parker and Parker-Frost (and Eagle brand, Japan) that are excellent knives in fit, finish, and materials. A couple I have posted. I, also, have some duds. I need to go back through my "box of chocolates" (per F. Gump) to see what I can carry after my Remington run.
