Man that's a handsome knife! This one has a dedicated pocket slip and gets spoiled. It did do some honest box break down earlier though!

Thanks for the compliment! My word that Northwoods is drop-dead-gorgeous.
I think I could carry that one every day , but I am not sure that I could bring myself to use it . It is just so nice to see my friend .This one has a dedicated pocket slip and gets spoiled. It did do some honest box break down earlier though!

Nothing fancy but I keep returning to this one for everyday carry. Main blade has great snap and utilises both springs on this slim, little whittler. Nice too to have a knife with a spear point main amongst my mainly stockman users.![]()

Such a simple utilitarian knife with a beautiful honest patina.
Anyone who thinks a plain Jane utilitarian knife can be good looking is a fool.
Wait. What?
I see you caught my typo.
I'm sure you know " can " was supposed to be can't , because it surely is a foolish notion to think a simple utilitarian knife can't look good as many of them definitely do.

Love the (Olive?)wood on the Capucin Jack.
Friction folders can be a pain to carry thanks to the dang tangs, but they work just fine for most cutting needs.
@Burnt Stag , congrats on the WLST; that jigged red bone is sublime!Right out of the mailbox and straight into the pocket.
I am gonna love using this little fella and building up a nice patina.

Gorgeous stag trapper,
I saw this cheerful knife before breakfast yesterday, @paulhilborn , and was inspired to put half a banana in my oatmeal and have the other half with peanut butter on toast! My Churchill for the majority of the day

@Planterz , if you need to cut stuff, tough to do any better than "just" those two!Just these today.

Interesting pair,Carrying my Unity Lambsfoot today, along with a recently-acquired Capucin, can't really see me taking to this one, but I thought I'd give it a whirl

That Half Hawk is a nice pattern GT, and a good-looking knife
...
Sounds like a good time, Stuart! Thanks, GT. It's a solid old knife and I'm really lucky to be carrying it around. I pulled it out to cut some bulk cordage at our local hardware store and several of the regulars asked to see it. We had a great impromptu show 'n tell.
You are showing some really radiant R&Rs. I like canoes, but that Half Hawk capsizes me.

Thanks for the Sunday School song pic, Dylan - red and yellow, black and white!Thank you, GT! Please forgive my forgetfulness, I meant to respond to you the other day but the weekends have found me quite busy, as of late. But I took a picture just for you.

I really like the looks of that Half Hawk, seems like it would be an immensely useful knife.
I am breaking from the norm and carrying these two for a change today.
