I've had good results using beeswax melted into the pivot area of an Opinel (the brand I use is Sno-Seal). Might this be better for horn?

Good idea, I have to try this. Thank's! So you melted the wax, packed it in the pivot area and then worked the blade back and forth? It did not get sticky?

As the handle is horn, it seems to shrink, so the pivot needs to be tightened. There is enough friction when fully open but when closed not enough. I need to carry this in a pocket sheath to avoid accidents.

Too lazy to switch. Or too busy, anyway carrying this still today. Why not, it's a good slicer and light as feather.

Those are hard conditions for shrooms. These were found in the "hills", usually a week or 2 behind the sandy soil areas. Thanks, I love that blade too!

Thanks!! These were from right after Mothers day, in Eastern Nebraska. Long gone now, I assume!!

Top ten knives right there, buddy!
Agreed and thanks Mark:thumbsup: I luckily snagged 4 of these variations when they were released. The walk and talk on these SS 15's are second to none.

It's Friday, and for some reason on Friday I like to go with something a little more "fun" to have in my pocket instead of my typical Case or Victorinox carry.

This is my most carried GEC knife, and what I am taking today. This is not a recent photo but the knife still looks like this:
