What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Happy father's day to all the father's out there! Hope you all had some sort of relaxation today.

My 77 has been cutting up limes and fishing line. Also maybe some fish bait....the knife was wiped down before I cut the limes....I think.

Fantastic Sowbelly!

I think it's kind of cool that even though my lambsfoot has developed a fair amount of patina, the blade etch is still readable at certain angles. Betty and Riley are both looking strong and healthy!:thumbsup::thumbsup:
I'm glad you can still see the etch. It is fun to play with the light when snapping pics of a nice patina.
Both Riley and Betty enjoy their walks. :D

My Fathers Day present. ATS-34 + Cocobolo + Moki fit & finish = :D

What a great looking knife!

In the pocket right now:

Very cool Sodbuster, the pivot is a nice touch.

Totin' the 15 and this Micro Svord today. After looking at the pic I took, I noticed how awful the factory grind was on the Svord so I cleaned it up a little.

After the clean up.

I forget now Ken, it probably came from a fleamarket I think. After seeing yours, I was glad to find it, particularly as it had a tang-stamp. I don't know anything more about them, but if they were made for export, and even for a specific contract, knives come back, and there was always a lot of 'leakage' from the Sheffield factories (and from the smaller firms and individual cutlers they sub-contracted work to), both out of the front door, and out of the back. I'll look forward to seeing your two-blade :)

Here is the two bladed one , it had a badly broken tip in the main blade when I found it so its been modified into a strange Sheepsfoot blade . This knife isnt in as good condition as the single blade knife , but it is still perfectly usable so it will be tomorrows Traditional carry .

Ken

:D:D

Thanks, Perry & Jeff & Dean; they're sure interesting knives. :) Jeff, I've had that horn-handled lambsfoot since about November, I think, and I've most often posted it in this thread as part of my quartet that I carry literally every day, regardless of what my rotation schedule dictates that I carry. Dean, I'm up to five knives with lambsfoot blades now.

Congrats on picking up another couple of venerable folders, Harry!!:thumbsup::cool: (Not sure how I feel about you "raiding" my state to do it!!;):D)

@Hkjay & Old Hunter Old Hunter , those "animal shield" knives are fantastic!!:thumbsup::thumbsup::)

Striking knife, Ken; I'm always impressed by checkered handles!:thumbsup::cool:

Thanks, Jack. :)

Makes you wonder whether someone is celebrating or suffering when he says, "Make mine a double." ;):p Beautiful twin lambs, Jack!:thumbsup::cool:

I don't think of myself as a big fan of red knives, but that is some of the nicest bone, including color, I've ever seen, Ron!!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

I admire your attitude, r8shell! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:

Fascinating pic, Ken!:cool::cool: I had no knowledge of the Civil War era Copperheads, nor had I seen a Case copperhead pattern with the penny inlaid in the bone. Thanks for doubly expanding my horizons! :)

Outstanding stag stock knives, Stuart!!:thumbsup::cool::thumbsup:

Maybe one of the reasons I like your golden-brown knives so much, Steve, is that the handles remind me of pancakes and syrup!:thumbsup::cool::thumbsup:

I think it's kind of cool that even though my lambsfoot has developed a fair amount of patina, the blade etch is still readable at certain angles. Betty and Riley are both looking strong and healthy!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Captivating pic of a desirable duo of knives, Mark!:thumbsup::cool:

I like the wide, aggressive bevel you've got on the edge of your clip, Jer.:thumbsup::cool:

I think the first knives I purchased when I became re-interested in pocket knives about 4.5 years ago was a clam-pack of two Chinese Bucks, a Trio and a Solo. Back then, I had little interest in, or even tolerance for, single-bladed knives, so I gave away the Solo fairly soon after I got it. Kind of wish I hadn't done that.

Congrats on the Ancient, @GE Jr !!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

That's a sweet Father's Day canoe, Mike!:thumbsup::cool: Color me green with envy.:D

Exquisite choices with a well-deserved holiday message, Jeff!:D:thumbsup:

Congrats on the RR FD stockman, Shawn!!:cool::thumbsup: Looks like the same model as the one @r8shell scrimshawed for me. Your daughter is already 2 years old?!!?;)

Daughters can be sort of exasperating, but dads know they mean well! :p:thumbsup:;) Nice glittering gold in grandpa's memory too!:)

Pristine pearls of great price, Stuart!!:cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Congrats, Dad Ron!! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Not much of a shandy fan myself, but I thoroughly enjoyed a Leinie's Canoe Paddler I had with lunch today! :)

Maybe not a lot of folks who'd agree with me, but IMHO that's a grail knife right there, Jeff!!!:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Earlier this week, I posted a pic of the Uncle Henry stockman I'm carrying this week. Stainless blades, of course, but I'm always delighted that the springs are carbon steel:

Thanks GT! The Böker certainly is one of my favoeites. I can see why you like the carbon steel backspring on that UH, they contrast nicely with the brass liners  None of the liners on my knives are as dark as yours, I guess it has a lot to do with time or did you help them patina a bit?

Very nice, what's the fit and finish like?

Fathers day carry:thumbsup:

Ken

Thanks for showing it Ken, nice rescue :) Do you see many of those knives around?

Ebony & Ivory for me today, 2018 Guardians Lambsfoot and an old Needham Penknife. Have a good week folks

Mom’s boyfriend and fiancee and her grandparents?

Posing your knife for photos in front of them is the BF approved test of if these relationships have lasting power.:D

They're not knife enthusiasts, but they like me so they just laugh and go along with it.

My fiancee even sat behind me and held my phone to film a knife video on an awesome old German made Imperial integral bolster scratted mother of pearl Congress pattern pen knife that today. She's a keeper haha

If anybody has any information on this knife please let me know!

It's a stellar Stagurday in Northern Virginia today, but about to get stifling. Case 53087 and 5347, both from 1940-1964 era.

(For some reason, my phone won't upload the pic of the pile side - maybe later.)

Edited hours later to add the uploaded pile side. Whew!

I love Case stag from that era. Those are two beautiful knives.
