What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Very nice, what's the fit and finish like?

What are your impressions of this knife? After seeing it I became interested in possibly picking one up. Carbon or stainless blade?

Fit and finish are directly comparable to my Case small sodbuster and my A Wright lambsfoot (it should be noted that my ebony lambsfoot has none of the fit and finish issues that Wright is known for). It has stronger snap than the Case, and a thinly ground edge. The handle is about half again thicker than the Case (and twice as thick as my Eye Brand small sodbuster) so it feels beefy in the hand. For the price I think it's a good deal. The grenadill handle is what swayed me, you don't usually find African Blackwood on inexpensive knives (I got it for about $42 including shipping). It was advertised as a carbon steel blade, but it is definitely stainless. The liners and backspring are not stainless.

Thank Stuart D Duckdog
Fantastic Knives Paul ^^^^ I have yet to really venture into fixed blades but I really really like that one.

I wondered who got it. Absolutely gorgeous pick up Drew. One of a kind.

I have MANY fixed blades, heck I have several from Mark (Markesharp) but this Stag one is clearly a favorite of mine. I had it in my shop as a shop knife but once I got this Joufuu sheath I can finally carry it. I have never met Mark but these Stag covers are a custom fit:cool: This and the ancient just kinda work well together:thumbsup:

I love that fixed blade, Paul !!

If anybody likes old tractors and working knives, here’s a picture of an old tractor and working knives.

Wow Jeff, love that picture, it brings up memories of my time in the Marine Corps.
I was an Aviation Ground Support Equipment mechanic and we had Massey Ferguson Tractors to tow aircraft back in the 70s-80s when I was in.(Probably the 60s also. They were phased out in the early 80s.)
I loved driving them, I felt like farmer Myke sittin' way up high cruising down the flight line.
We were also given TL-29s so that pic just kinda floored me with flash backs.
Oh the memories.....:)

Thank you very much for the information  My only Otter is a Webermesser Papa Andi gifted me, but ScruffUK had a couple recently with poor fit and finish, so I have been wary about ordering another for a while. There've been a couple of nice ones posted here recently though, including your own. I've been sold 'carbon' knives by vendors in France and Spain, which turned out to be stainless. Also by a UK dealer, who imports Otter knives. When I told him that the knife was stainless, he insisted that it was not stainless at all, it was 'Inox'! o_O

I'm carrying my original ebony Lambsfoot today, along with the Unicorn Ivory #25 Barrett very kindly gifted me :)

Strongest pull I've ever had on a knife. I love the strong pull

I found one of these in a house we had to trash out. Nowhere near as nice as yours. Mine is on the weak side with a spongy close. I've flushed and cleaned it several times. Stays pretty much the same, still love it tho. Yours is a really nice example.

I thought I’d take a few pics and I got surprised by being watched.

I hope to find its skin it leaves behind. I put them in my guest beds. Oh yeah, it’s a common Black Racer.

Thats a great looking knife and great pictures of the snake. But for some reason the third picture genuinely sent a shiver down my spine...

Fossilzed whale bone; how unusual. A stunning knife

A poor picture of mine today.
