Exquisite Forum knife, Ted! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:

Stagurday.

That old Case stockman with the killer stag is outstanding, Dean!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

.... As we drove in front of our house we looked over to find our White Pine tree had blown over across the front yard. :( It shattered right above the base. I planted this tree roughly 40 years ago. The limbs were approximately 30 feet in diameter at the base and it was probably nearly 80 feet tall. I’m lucky it didn’t hit the house or anything else. If it had blown the other direction it could have hit the neighbors house. During all of this I had my 35 Churchill Cull Sambar Stag in my pocket. :D

Shame to lose a fine old tree that you've known its entire life, Ron, but I'm glad you didn't suffer more serious damage on what must have been a scary trip!

Hey guys it’s been a long time since I’ve last posted on here. Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

Phenomenal old tip-bolstered, pick bone Schrade sleeveboard pen knife!!!:thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:

...Found time to take a few pictures of my Case Stag and my Other Brands Stag though.

Harry
Impressive antler assets, Harry!! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:

Hope everyone is having a great weekend :) Wonderful weather here, really far too good to be indoors, but I am up to my neck in work, so having to stay in :( Got to be done though

Just this one today for me

Wow, a one-knife day is unusual for you, isn't it, Jack? But the gleaming surface of that lone knife allows the viewers of your photo to enjoy opposite horizons simultaneously, and that's certainly a treat!!:thumbsup::thumbsup:;)

I had to zoom in on your photo in order for my old eyes to figure out what project you were working on, David.:cool::thumbsup: What did those ax heads look like BEFORE you started?

I admire your enjoyment of that lambsfoot, Joshua! ;):thumbsup:

Ditto to that happy Sunday wish!
These faves are in church with me. The guitar is tuned up and sound checked.

What's your top church knife with the charismatic bone, Jeff?:thumbsup::thumbsup:

...
I had this sheepfoot TC with me at church this morning.

Another Sunday-best church knife; very tasteful, Dean!!:cool::thumbsup:

Still under the considerable influence of the pictures and history posted by @Jack Black , my Sunday sojourn takes me from Sheffield to Napanoch with today's totin' duo: a Rodgers (Cutlers to His Majesty, No. 6 Norfolk Street, Sheffield, 1875-1900) pen and a Napanoch Knife Co. (NAPANOCH CO., NAPANOCH, N.Y. curved stamp, 1900-1919 and 1931-1938) pen.

Thanks for sharing that pair of pearl oldies but goodies, Stuart!:cool::thumbsup:

Feelin' rich. Rollin' in Jeffersons with these two :D:D

Yeah, that pair is definitely money!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

We’re hanging out at home today. ...My knife friend for today is my 48 Northfield Improved Trapper. I hope everyone is enjoying the day as much as we are!

Sounds like you're well-fed, Ron, and you're certainly prestigiously bladed! ;):thumbsup:

Thanks, I like it's looks but have to say your sodbuster there sure puts it to shame.
Thanks, but that's an "apples and oranges" comparison between two quite different kinds of knives. :)

That sure is a knife with identity ;) beautiful knife :D
Is the formula carved into the bone?
:D Thanks; it's one of my favorites for sure. @r8shell did the scrimshaw on that. The design is scratched into the bone with a sharp scribe of some kind, and then ink is worked into the scratches. So it IS basically carved into the bone. ;)

Had my old 77 Barlow in my pocket today when we went to the Flea Market at Elkhorn , Wi.
...
Was able to find all of this for just a total of $26 . Brass harness Hanes for $7 , $4 for an Easy Open Probably Camillus , and $15 for an Ulster Chraftsman Camp type knife with a Punch ....
...
Plus my better half was also able to find some Stuff .
Harry
Congrats on the MAJOR flea market score, Harry!:thumbsup::thumbsup::cool: Both knives look like they'll turn out to be beautiful!:cool::thumbsup:

A little Buck stockman today...

Buck 373 Trio?? That's a sweet small stockman, John!:thumbsup::cool:

...
Thanks for your kind words GT, always good to see your hardy perennials :)
...
Thanks, Jack. :) Those knives are the ONLY indication that I have a "green thumb".

Thanks, GT.
Wood-tipped ain't cigars, but close.

@Jack Black 's later educational postings suggests that the dating is questionable. Old, but not so ancient, I think.

:p My Hav-a-Tampa Jewels were as close as I got to cigars for 40+ years!
Whatever the actual age, that knife was top-shelf to this amateur!:thumbsup:

Sublime summer shot, Jack!! :cool::cool::thumbsup:

Have a great week! :)

Scrumptious bone and shiny steel, Steve!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

(Boy, I'm getting more use out of that old book than I ever thought that I would.)

Beautiful bone with joy-inducing jigging on that brace of Cases, Stuart!:thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:

My Alox Knife of the Week is a Vic Cadet 2 (thanks, Ken). Wish they'd go back to a pen blade in place of the file on the Cadet.

non-Alox SAK of the Week is a Vic Explorer, with magnifier:

Stockman of the Week is a Case 6347 that Lance almost MADE me buy as part of a "package deal" for another knife I wanted; I had almost no interest in the stockman at the time, but obviously Lance knows me better than I do; splendid stockman!! :p

Thanks, GT. The Hav-a-Tampa comment brought back a lot of memories. As I teen, I worked for a man who owned a beach front concession stand, and he lived with a Hav-a-Tampa clenched in his teeth all of the time. Great guy, lousy job.
I really like that Case stockman - what a spey blade.

Joseph Rodgers and Sons of Sheffield. The star and cross was the company's trademark. This is a "Her" as in Cutlers to Her Majesty, which refers to Queen Victoria. It has an England stamp so it was made after 1891. So this old Norfolk mother of pearl pattern was made between 1891-1901 at No. 6 Norfolk Street Sheffield England. It's a whopping 3 and 3/4ths " closed. I carry it quite a bit :D and it needs a mild cleaning up ...just enough to keep the rust at bay

Great item Gev! Does look nicely aged, but you sure Her Majesty doesn't refer to Shakespare's friend Queen Elizabeth I ?:D:D:eek::cool:

Is it all a dream anyway....

“Be not afeard; the isle is full of noises,
Sounds, and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears; and sometime voices,
That, if I then had waked after long sleep,
Will make me sleep again: and then, in dreaming,
The clouds methought would open, and show riches
Ready to drop upon me; that, when I waked,
I cried to dream again.”
William Shakespeare, The Tempest

Rare TC with beautiful well matched covers. My only two blade TC left, gave the other two blades away. With two "attaboy" coins still sealed in plastic from 1996 Space and Missile Competition Guardian Challenge.

Fine example of a recent 47 right there!

Thats real mesmerising  What material are the covers?

Love the Chip Chop.
Saturday I finished cleaning up and rehanging an old Winchester hatchet head my sun had brought home from the flea market. Pleasant way to spend a few hours.

Yep like sharpening knives; strangely relaxing, and unlike my usual job I can actually see the finished results. :D I'm doing it over a few days though. I don't have a work bench so I'm working on the floor and my knees can only take so much
And that Winchester hatchet must of been a great gift from your son; you'll have to post a pic of it sometime
There a couple of my dad's old axes. The Chip Chop is a Gilpin made in Cannock in the county of Staffordshire. According to 'Grace's Guide' the company were trading from 1819 to 2014.

https://gracesguide.co.uk/William_Gilpin,_Senior,_and_Co

The smaller axe is a 'Staniforth Severquick', which although they've gone through various owners are apparently still producing tools in Sheffield or are at least headquartered there under the 'Spear and Jackson' name.

It occurred to me after I'd started that I should of done before and after shots. This is an old shot taken a year or two ago when I first found them in my dad's garage.
