What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Awesome. Is the Collie 110 size?

So many fine knives so beautifully displayed. @Half/Stop your fine looking Case gave me an idea for my carry today. I've been house-bound by the monsoon settled in the East Coast that I have few guns left to clean or knives to sharpen, so I decided to tackle a long delayed task - turn 250 feet of 3/4" nylon braid climbing/rappelling rope given to me by a buddy into some useful lengths to keep in the truck box, hunt camp, and boat house. I'm cutting, fusing, and whipping the ends today with this Schrade Walden model 163.

I almost carried my 163 today for Wood Wednesday, but I think I may need the wood saw in my big fat Wenger.
Now about that rope- just like lumber, you can cut it shorter, but you can’t cut it longer!

I'm so far behind in this thread that it's laughable. :p:rolleyes: Some of these quotes look like they come from Saturday, and I think I've only made it to Tuesday morning, even when I skip lots of posts that deserve my attention.

Those are some fine looking covers on that Case!

I’ve got this one for Stag Saturday.
Superb! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup: "Up on Cripple Creek, she sends me. If I spring a leak, she mends me."

Got some patina on those shoes! ;)

Amazing brass quartet! :thumbsup::cool::thumbsup:

It's raining, get the canoe.

It's raining too hard for a canoe so I switched.

Cool Catt, Jeff! :cool::thumbsup::cool: I have several electrician models, but not Catt; is the liner lock steel instead of brass??

Nice knives and pics, guys!
Posted this one in the newest addition thread. I like it!

Auspicious pair with beautiful covers, Ron! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup: Be careful out there dragging all the rocks around this week. :confused::thumbsup:

I was poking around in the pearl pit and pulled out this Edge Brand (Solingen, Germany/Mt. Vernon, NY) stockman to tote today.

Stuart, you're pulling plenty of pretty pocketknives from that purported pearl pit, pardner; that one is awesome! :cool::cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Grand geriatric knives! :thumbsup::cool::thumbsup:

Church carry.
Splendid knife, Ken, and I like your taste in hymns! ;):cool::thumbsup: I often sing that one (among others) while I'm doing laundry on Saturdays. :)

... Things are looking promising as we saw a lot of good sign and about 35elk.

:thumbsup::cool:

That Böker is the bomb, Lance!! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool: (Stockman, right?)

5K Qs 5K Qs GT : Case came out with a series of 8 different patterns in the Walnut Rogers Jigged Bone in 2016 I believe . I was lucky enough to receive all 8 of them as gifts from my children . I seldom carry any of them because I want to keep them Like New . My favorites of the 8 are the SeaHorse Whittler and the Mini Copperhead . The attached photo of the 8 is just for your edification and not because I am carrying them today .

Harry
You've definitely edified me very elegantly, Harry! ;):thumbsup: Thanks for the group shot! :cool::cool::thumbsup:

:D:cool::D Ha!. No moss is gonna grow on you today, GT! :p
Gary, I think that we can all agree, that nobody puts as much thought and effort into their post as you do. Thanks for being a big part of making the porch such a great place to hang out!
You should have heard them just around midnight... brown sugar! I love the stones.
Thanks GT
Fantastic post Gary! And yes, I did find myself singing along!
Thanks for the compliment, GT, and for the sticky fingers flashback.

This hangs in my office :D
Well, Gary, you wax lyrical but it is a great knife! ;)
LOL, love reading your musings GT :) :thumbsup::cool:
Nice Stones themed post; would have preferred the Beatles, but you can't always get what you want!
Thanks for the kind words about my comments based on Stones' lyrics, folks. :) It was fun for me to do, but apparently wore me out since I haven't posted comments in this thread since Sunday! :eek::confused::( My wife claimed I was sprawled on the couch, muttering, "Take me to the station and put me on a train. I got no expectations to pass THIS way again."
@r8shell and @Prester John, I see (and thoroughly enjoy) what you did there! :p:thumbsup::thumbsup:

I had this one in my pocket today.

This is the third year in a row I've carried this knife on July 22nd, which is my daughter Eleanor's birthday....
Barrett, those are sensational photos for Ellie's birthday! :thumbsup::):):thumbsup:

S&M Heritage Stockman with my crude slip....
KGYXpxd.jpg
I actually like that slip a LOT! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup: I think I prefer the laced seams over stitched seams, and would like to try something like that myself some day!

Knives for me this week include a silver Alox Classic (thanks, Ken), a red celidor Tinker, and a Valox Cadet (thanks, Clay):
