What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Almost too pretty to use/carry

My new GEC #38 Special in red micarta (I really need to take a picture soon). This is my first GEC and high quality traditional. When I was at a red light this morning I took it out of my pocket to admire it, and I'm looking at it right now at work! On the way out the door this morning I grabbed an apple for lunch just so I could use this knife. I think I've caught the bug...

A treat to see your Taramundi GT, and those are a couple of nice-looking Canoes, I don't recall having seen the Winchester before (though I dare say I have! :D)

Carrying this year's Guardians Lambsfoot in horn

That second round of horn lambsfoot knives turned out almost as nice as the first, I think!! I'm glad they have a bolster slightly different than the first round.:cool::thumbsup:

Thanks Gary and nice trio especially that Taramundi !
Thanks, Gary. Both of your canoes are top drawer.

Yes, I'm back to top form. Except for my recent knife cuts (minor really). :D

Thank you again, Gary.:)
...
Thank you for the compliments, GT! I really like the looks of that Winchester, a very fine looking Canoe.
...
I am carrying a couple of excellent working knives today, clad in one of my favorite materials.

Jack, Steve, Dean, & Dylan, thanks for the compliments on the knives I posted. :) The Winchester canoe is one I bought "on clearance" back around Christmas (along with a yellow synthetic Winchester canoe). It's inexpensive, but I think the fake stag covers look quite good. Dean, I'm glad your recuperation is going well.:thumbsup: Dylan, that's another phenomenal pair of ebonies!!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

...
Thanks pal :D I'm afraid my Ankermesser has blank tangs, I guess it could be an Otter, but the Anchor is placed slightly differently to the modern ones

Nice choice of Lambsfoot ;)
Thanks, Jack. :) Not for the first time, I made an unwarranted assumption about "the nature of reality" regarding your anchor knife. At least I remembered correctly that you had a wood knife with inlaid anchor!

Got this one out for the Queen thread, might as well carry it along today :D
Bit big and heavy for my pocket but fancied a change.

Heavy duty and desirable Queen, Will!:cool::cool:

A couple more Copperheads, these are Rough Riders, a very good product for the money.

Awesome gunstock checkered bone, Dave!:thumbsup::cool: One of my favorite covers from RR. I used to have a copperhead just like yours, but included it as a prize in a GAW I ran.

I took some pictures of this thinking it was something else, and thought I'd carry it. Camillus 69.

Since I rekindled an interest in pocket knives several years ago, I've purchased many nice new knives. But a knife like your Camillus, Jer, is really why I'm here and what I really wish I could find!:cool::thumbsup:

Inspired by the jacks recently posted by @paulhilborn and @315 , I totin' this M.H. Wragg English jack again for a Throwback Thursday.

Looks like a big, beautiful jack, Stuart!:thumbsup::cool:

Both modified TL-29 and salsa look incredible, Jeff!:cool::thumbsup: Are you taking pre-orders on either?? ;)

This Winchester hasn’t seen the light of day in quite a while, decided to remedy that today.

Beautiful Black Box Winchester, Tom!:thumbsup::cool: I have one just like it that I ought to carry and use more often.

You might say that everything was sunny side up! ;)
:D:D:thumbsup:

You are forgivn!
:D:D:thumbsup:

Today's carry are my Ancient TC spearpoint and Case slimline trapper.

Commendable couple of knives, Dean!:cool::thumbsup:

Craftsman Barlow today

That Craftsman creates cravings, Steve!! ;):thumbsup: Is it unused?

Another day and another Case.
And another astonished reaction from me!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

I've been carrying my vintage stag mini copperhead the last couple of days.

That is a delectable example, Ace!!:thumbsup::cool: Stellar stag, and I REALLY like Case's quad-lined bolsters!

... Here's one I've been carrying all week. It was a gift from Brett some time back, but had broken/shrunk plastic covers. I put some appropriate ebony covers on it, looks just fine to me now! I left the finish on the bolsters and covers a little rough, to give it a more lived-in look. The steel is a joy to use, it sharpens up quite nice.

Handsome knife, Glenn!! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Thanks GT, nice looking lambsfoot , pairs well with the pocket watch.
...
Thanks, Tom. :)

Thanks for the picture 5K Qs 5K Qs ! That looks like a handy blade shape. It would probably make short work of some veggies....

I’ve included this size comparison for anyone thinking of picking up a 501.
You're welcome; I'll gladly get another Taramundi if I get the chance. ;)
That Buck 501 looks slender and elegant, but it's still a lotta lockback!!:thumbsup::cool:

...
Thanks, GT. You comments are always the tops, and you foot o'lamb topped off today's terrific displays.

Nine dot “Grand Daddy” Barlow, 43 pattern.

I have to credit D Duckdog for inspiring me to hunt out one of this barlow as well as several other vintage Case knives. Can I send you a bill Stuart?
:D:D

Those replies are TOPS in my book ;)
You detected my pattern!! ;)

... But a viable alternative is to carry two different single blades, one straight and one bellied. Along with my always, ALWAYS EDC Cadet, here is my dual single blade carry.

Terrific trio, Jeff!:thumbsup::thumbsup: You happen to have my 3 favorite blade shapes there. ;) (For me, the order would be spear, drop point, and lambsfoot.)

Peanut-ish Knife of the Week for me is a Taylor-Schrade 72OT:

r8shell r8shell , your pick of a Queen for the day prompted my totin' choice. Thanks for the push. A Queen Texas toothpick (also dubbed a Folding Outdoor Knife in their catalogs) from 1949-1958. Their Queen Steel, developed in 1949, really is pretty resilient. This period saw the declining use of true Winterbottom bone due to increasing costs. They switched to Delrin in the late 1960's; Winterbottom sold out to a competitor in 1968.

The case is a cigarette/cigarillo case that I found in some old musty bin.

I need to replace in interior bands that hold the cigarettes/cigarillos in place. Always another chore . . .
