What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Crazy busy day today, so I haven't even read through this thread, let alone try to compose a post expressing my admiration for what you all are toting. I'll just post some of my knives for this week, and hope I can spend a little more time here tomorrow. :):thumbsup:

GT out!

Have this one in the pocket today that I found at a flea market almost 10 years ago. It had quite a few rust spots, was really gunky and had barely any snap but the blades didn’t have much wear to it. I finally decided to clean it up, and forced a patina on it. Now it’s walking and talking and I think it looks decent. Looked at the covers under a loupe and see some woody looking grains but I still don’t know if they are wood or some man-made material.
Well this post let me remember I actually had 3 pocket knives for my 2 for Tuesday carry lol. I took the little Utica I picked up to show my boss.

Souvenir of St.Louis is what I make out of the print. Mine has 0 snap on closing and very little opening of the main. You can actually see where the half stops are worn off the tang, because there was a tiny flange of metal where the spring wasn't touching the tang. It was going into a little gap between the spring and liner. I got it removed, to long to describe how, lol, but opens and closes a tiny bit better. All that wear on the tang, but blades look almost untouched.

Cool! Same same but different. I’m glad we both rescued these 2 old Utica’s.

If it melts, it’s not wood!:D
Hey that’s a beauty and well worth the restoration.
Lightly peen the hinge pin to get rid of that blade play.
I actually thought of trying to burn it myself but thankfully Stuart @Duckdog mentioned it’s faux mammoth but maybe I’ll have to burn it just to see if he’s right. Nah, I take his word for it lol. It does have a bit of blade play and I might have to get a ball peen hammer and try to elimainate the play. I hope I don’t destroy the knife!

More 44 Stag goodness today!
I usually will carry the same knife all week and don’t post pics of the same knife a day later, but I’m breaking my own rules here because I love this knife!
I patiently awaited the stag covers and this is my only purchase from the run of Buffalo Jacks. IMO, Great Eastern knocked this one out of the park!

You back from your hols GT? Great-looking Pioneer my friend :thumbsup:

Looking good Taylor, you really put some ptina on your Lambsfoot :) :thumbsup;

Thanks! I realized I didn't take a stand alone picture of the Lambsfoot so I didn't put it in the guardians forum. Guess I will have to carry it around with me tomorrow! ;)

Thanks for that :) Hope to see it tomorrow ;) :thumbsup:

I better get my skates on, I've been lolly-gagging on here for over an hour, and I'm off to Sheffield today. Got a whole pocketful of Lambsfoot knives, but I'll just share a couple of them here ;) :thumbsup:
