What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Seems I am making a habit of getting behind on this thread. I will need to remedy that.

Turn that wonderful knife on the left on it's side (horizontal) Dylan and it will mirror your picture behind the knives:cool: Nice duo today:thumbsup:

Thank you, Paul, for the kind compliments. The 2-tone horn on this knife is just terrific and you are absolutely right, it would make a nice artistic facsimile of its backdrop.

Was just going through old pictures last night and come across this Northfield 73 in Stag so I decided to carry it today in a slip , as always , for old times sake . This is the knife that cemented my like for GEC and Stag . These are the first pictures that I ever took of this favorite in 2115 . This knife is also made of Unobtainium .

Harry

Harry, my friend, you have the very best Stag. Always a pleasure to see.

Stunning Dylan

Our 3-day weekend here has left me running around like crazy! I have another long day tomorrow, with far too many things I need to do. Think I'll need all the Lambfootery I can get! :D Two new ones, already slipped in my pockets tonight, I haven't had a chance to even CF them yet! :D

Thank you, Jack, for the compliment, I certainly have you to thank for this beautiful knife.

Very nice additions to your lineup, that Stag is just wonderful.

More 44 Stag goodness today!
I usually will carry the same knife all week and don’t post pics of the same knife a day later, but I’m breaking my own rules here because I love this knife!
I patiently awaited the stag covers and this is my only purchase from the run of Buffalo Jacks. IMO, Great Eastern knocked this one out of the park!

I would have to agree, GEC did a very fine job on these 44s. I regret not reserving one in Stag but I did land one in Ebony and one in Cocobolo and though I haven't quite taken to the pattern yet, I am a patient man and will keep them stowed away until I am ready to give them a solid go.

Wonderful Stag on yours, quite a stunner.

I’m running a little later than usual today! I’ve got two with me. :)

Very nice Wednesday duo, Ron. That Osage has aged so wonderfully and of course, that Lambsfoot is always awesome.

Today is my wedding anniversary! :D

A very Happy Anniversary to you and your wife, Ron! And what a knife to celebrate with! An exceptional choice, my friend.

I’ve got this 78 with me today.

I am a big fan of Ironwood myself, you have a terrific example right there.

Them GEC Cigar patterns are sweet, I have a Stockman GEC 53 Cuban, a gift from a friend here.

What a gorgeous knife, Ted! Buffalo Horn, yes? I know GEC has had issues with that material in the past. I hope they can someday revisit it. I know it can be finicky but it sure does look awfully sharp when it's done right.

Now that Imgur appears to have resolved their uploading issues, I can provide a picture of what I decided to carry in my pockets today.

Congratulations, that is awesome! You’ll have this beauty in your pocket and another beauty on your arm!
Thank you! Yes indeed pocket and arm! :)

What a beautiful knife. Ron, you and the Missus have a great day!
Thank you! :)

Happy Anniversary.
Thank you! :)

Congrats!!

Nice knife to celebrate with, happy anniversary Ron!

Giving my Camillus scout a rest today and totin’ a pioneer instead.

Thanks Tom! That’s a nice course you’re carrying today! :)

Happy Anniversary to you and Pam my friend, you are a lucky man and as your friend I know I can tell you this and you'll totally agree...we married way above our pay grades buddy:D:D:D enjoy your anniversary Ron:thumbsup: and hug Pam for me;)
Thanks so much Paul! I agree we are blessed! Hugs later! :D

Congratulations to you and Pam, Ron (and sympathies to Pam). Norma and I celebrated our 39th last month and, remarkably, she's still here. We are lucky guys, I guess.

Stuart, thanks and congratulations on your 39th! Looking forward to our next sandwich my friend! :D

Thanks Dylan! :) The Osage on my 73 has taken on some nice character since 2015. I actually don’t carry it as often as I once did or it would probably be even better! Thanks for the anniversary wishes. I thought the Emerald Green would be sor of festive for the special occasion! :D

I gave up on splitting, stacking and hauling cord word many years ago, which we burned in a wood stove and fireplace. Now there's 2 remotely controlled natural gas appliances, one log set and one gas stove, in their place. My back is much happier.

I'm still cutting and splitting for the "health benefits". We had 4 wood burning fireplaces; two are now gas fired. We'll burn one wood "for effect" and one gas for actual effect. On a cold rainy afternoon, I stand in front of one of the gas fireplaces and look out on the wet wood pile fondly.

I love to spend time in our little back door garden, eating grapes - hmm, what the blackbirds and sparrows deign to share, in fact! ;)

We have also roses blooming along the passageway. Some people like to stop and chat, this reminds me of when I was young, the district then was more like a village.

Thank you so much for sharing the beauty of your home. Those peaceful pictures made my day!!

Digging that Bonsa I've never seen one of those before...very nice and elegant looking.

I hadn't seen one, either. A prefect gentleman's knife, though that doesn't explain how I should have it.

This is how it looks at my place - pretty much everyone has a small vineyard:

As I mentioned to Jolipapa, thanks for sharing the beauty of you home. What a relief from the humid jungle I sweat in now! I can help deal with those pesky deer and fill your larder

That;s a pretty potent pair, right there, Gary. I recently obtained a lighter like the one shown, but doubt that I'll get a cigar like that so easily. Enjoy!

On the trail today.

Nice companions, Dean, especially the Case couple.

Why not?? Very nice.

Ulster Jack today

A very handsome knife and that's a fact, Jack (er, ah, Steve).

Thank you, I apreciate your help offer! :D I'd like to go hunting sometime too, but I'm not a permited hunter ... Obtaining a firearm means going through a lot of paperwork and permits, so only few people can actually hunt. Luckily we don't have bears in this part of my country.
