What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I'm carrying this Case SS Sowbelly with rough Olive Drab covers and I've been carrying it daily for some time. I don't know why but as "Plain Jane" as it is, I like it. It's kinda like the runt of the litter it's so ugly it's appealing. The edges of the covers on the spine side of the frame were sharp so I broke the edges with a file and it now sits in my hand nicely. As I don't do any heavy chores anymore, the knife looks pretty much now as it did the day I got it and took this picture. At 3 7/8" long and with the rounded bolsters it rides nicely in the pocket and the blades are heavy/strong enough to handle anything I run across anymore.

Rachel, When I started purchasing Anza's quite a few years ago, my dealer said they will make a knife to order. I had at least 4 or 5 different ones made. This one was made at the time I was into collecting Scandi built knives, I thought they did a really nice job.
Thank you for the info. I didn't know they made knives to order.
Nice Enzos and Anza, @HFinn , r8shell r8shell , and @dc50 !! I'm fit to be tied that I didn't grab a fixed blade today. And I like that Wagner Ware, r8shell.
Thank you, and that little Wagner Ware got me looking at cast iron pans, as well as pocketknives when I stop at junk shops and yard sales. Unfortunately, they take up more room to collect. ;)
Today, I have this Böker jack in my pocket.

Those Boker USAs are fine knives that fly under the radar. Congrats on that one.

Dylan, that 'squatch on your mug looks like he could be wearing a Darth Vader helmet. :D

Well, you know, as they say, "Only in Portland..." :D

I fear I would be found, days later, dangling from a doorknob.

Ha! I've been known to snag myself on a door knob or two. I think it helps that I wear long shirts for the most part.

Fine pairing Dylan

Have a good Friday folks :) Ebony for me today

Thank you, Jack. A fine picture of a very fine knife! I am carrying the same today.

That is a well done, practical knife. What is the closed size?
Thank you! It’s 3 5/8” closed. It feels slim in the hand but the bulby part of the teardrop gives it just enough width to fill up the grip. The blade is ground real thin and it’s a slicer, gets sharp easily. Would love another one from Brent. IIRC, I got back on his list right after getting this teardrop years back.

D Duckdog I like that Boker Stuart. Serpentine frame, sunken joints, rat tail bolsters and the bone is great too.

Brent Cramer ebony teardrop. Happy Friday folks!

That's a sweet knife, Nick.

I don't know why but as "Plain Jane" as it is, I like it.

I think it has a soothing look.

BB Winchester Small Gunstock 3". It's just right for a small knife, not toy like or fiddly. This one will be the user and has a more light chocolate bone than the archived one, but I like it a lot.

Will, that's one of the best looking gunstock that I've seen. A model for other gunstocks. Thanks for sharing.

I have a few skillets, griddles, and Dutch ovens, but they aren't collectibles (though I do keep looking, too).

Yes, m'am, and thank you.

Possible, Dylan, but look what that did to the white shirt of the lad in your picture (just can't get the tune of "Alba an àigh"/"Scotland the brave" out of my head).

That's the problem. I don't want to collect them, I want to use them, because I like the way the old ones were made. The antique stores want too much money because they are "collectable"...sounds kinda familiar, doesn't it? :D

That's a nice one Will, I have been enjoying seeing all the Gunstocks recently, always thought it was an interesting pattern :)

LOL! I don't recall having seen anything quite like that before Dylan! :D

Beautiful ebony pairing my friend :)

I enjoy seeing that practically perfect TC Barlow again, Señor Pinto!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Thanks Mr. GT, I put the same knives several times because in reality they are the ones that I actually walk with me in my pocket.
As you know the knives you would like to buy, they are only sold in the United States of America and now with Customs inspection, closer here in Portugal, prices are very high, for example GEC # 73 stands for 270.00 € and the # 15 TC for € 275.00, through Ebay and with the customs duties.

A very special carry for me today. Here I thought the Pioneer and a Peanut was a practically perfect pairing but, alas, I was wrong. A blue alox Farmer and a Peanut is even better! And what could be even better than that? The SAK was gifted to me by @r redden ! :D Out of the blue (get it? ...see my GAW) he contacted me and said he had noticed I commented on a blue alox SAK so decided to send me one. Randy, thank you!!! You are a generous and thoughtful person and I am glad to call you my friend. I know I'm not the only one around here who has been touched by your generosity.
