Pertinux, that's a Case Texas jack in stag and CV from the Stag Rancher series. Pattern 52032. I bought it because I think that is a great series. I also want one of the wharncliffe mini trappers from that series if I can find one. This years knives in that series have a big honking blade etch that 2011 knives don't have.

Those are good looking kitties. I have my own batch of those. Just turned one year old. Ther are two of them messing around my monitor right now making it a challenge to see what I've typed on the screen.

Here are mine at a bit younger time. All the same litter; quite a mixed bag.

Eureka!!! I have found it.
Earlier I had my new amber bone Case in my pocket and I wanted to compare the bone to my older mini copperhead. I couldn't find my mini!
After hours of looking I finally found it. It was, in case you were wondering, in the last place that I looked.:D

Whew. Glad you found it. It's a terrible feeling, in the meantime.

It's interesting that both those knives are Case's "amber bone." I'm this (another of your pictures) is the same knife as in your picture above?

While this is a different mini copperhead (waves at TLARbb), also in amber:

Both mini copperheads make me go a little swoony, but it's interesting that the coloring is so different. Is the second copperhead above perhaps also newer? It looks more like your new knife.

Both pictures are of the same knife. The bone has changed dramatically. It is translucent now and I'm not sure why. I still love it.

Cute kittens. I have to admit that I've been very anti stockman, because I thought that there is surely no way you need three blades. Now you have me re-thinking everything. The red pocket worn bone looks beautiful on that knife. I'm not sure i'm going to get one anytime soon but it is definitely on my radar now. Is that CV?

Your welcome Jake, and heck no, I used my Kalamazoo 1SM. Its pretty much dedicated to lawn mower blades, machetes, axes/hatchets these days :)

By hand is reserved for my pocket knives (as it should be IMO)

BTW, I think you will like yours much more for a variety of jobs once you get it really profiled and sharp.

I'm going to get a belt sharpening one of these days.

Okay, so I was strolling, I mean, scrolling through this thread with less than full attention when I saw this picture and thought, "Hey, that's supra-something's White Owl." I then scrolled up to confirm. Recognizing member's individual knives by picture alone is... good, right?

That's another beautiful knife!

[whisper] What is it? [/whisper]

P, I think it means that I need to buy more knives. ;)

There ya go.

Glad to be of service. ;)

This one is stainless, but Case does make a medium stockman in "dark red bone" in CV. The bone looks similar if not the same in pictures, but given how often there is a (sometimes large) disparity between Case's stock (heh) pictures and real-life appearance, that doesn't mean the depth of the red is the same. Sure looks similar, though.

(We don't get to keep the kittens; they're fosters from our local humane league who are with us until they're ready to be adopted. Caring for foster litters is one of the most rewarding privileges I've known.)

Today there was my orange GEC #66 Serpentine Jack with me... I definitelly need to get some new pics of that knife.

Nice little cats (kittens) you have there... they are cute. I don´t have any pets... just some rats living nearby the stream behind my house ... not really pets... but animals around the house...

Kind regards
Andi

I had this one in my pocket to back up a Delica 4.

Case small amber bone Texas Jack. I'm actually considering getting a new one, for when this one finally gets worn out. Or I may go for that medium stockman in CV with old red bone scales, since it's built on the same size frame.
