What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Piano keys, again.

I've got a cool "new one" today. Along with the ever-present Camillus, I'm carrying a 1999 Case Mini-Copperlock in saw cut bone. The rough cut nature of the covers is really, really cool, and the bone is dyed with a ton of color variation to it.

Very true. If I could show my Karambit collection here in Traditionals, you would see a different side.:)

Yeah, guessing you have folders with features that cross the line here.
I share your interest in this style. They're really neat.
I have a book on them that says the pattern goes back to the year 1100, originating in Indonesia. They were agricultural tools, like pruners (I'm sure you're aware). Sounds traditional to me :)

Anyway, here's one I think I can post here. Not totin' it, but hope to give it some custom handle scales soon.

Now that is an exceptionally beautiful knife. absolutely gorgeous.

I've been meaning to pick up one of those. I'm on a Case kick lately, and love the thought of having their Beer Scout equivalent. Great jigging on that one!

Thanks. It's so strange to see covers like that on a more modern era Case. I'm used to their covers being so perfectly shaped and immaculate. This one is sort of like jigged soup bone or sumthin'. If that style of bone had been used on the newly released Case Barlows, collectors would be praising the knife gods.

Now if it had only been a full-sized Copperlock in CV........
