What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

My two totes for today will be a couple of German stag covered cutters; a Puma hunter from the early 80s and a Bulldog Brand large 5 bladed stockman from the 90s.:)
Both are excellent knives with awesome stag, but the Bulldog caught my eye. I have a 5 bladed Case stockman and a big 5 blade Parker sowbelly stockman, so 5 bladed stockmen catch my attention! I've been tempted to start a thread just to see more examples, that Bulldog is such a fine example.:thumbsup:

Had my trusty old Wenger in my pocket all day while painting on the outside of my house. No, I didn't open the paint can with the screwdriver blade.

Not sure how, but I'm afraid this thread has got away from me again o_O So, I hope it's OK if I just rush in, post my carry, and go and hide behind the sofa  Hope everyone is having a good weekend

I gave up on the real lambsfoot thread, too much to follow and didn't like that other traditionals couldn't even be in the picture, but I really enjoy it when you post over here even a post and run. I love that Damascus and stag, your making me jealous. Thanks for posting.
Here's a couple from a hike with my dad and brother-in-law today.

As usual, you have a great pair of slicers today; very cool!:thumbsup::thumbsup:
Beautiful brace of GECs, JJ! At first, I thought that 54 had fluted bolsters! IMHO, that 78 is the best version, with the checkered bone and the spear/pen combo.
Thank you Gary; sometimes that window light does some cool things!:thumbsup::cool:
There's no way the blade on that toothpick will fit into that handle!!
Ha ha thanks!!! I just double checked and the blade is 1/4" longer than my other 4 1/4" toothpicks; thanks for the tip!:thumbsup::thumbsup:
Thanks JJ, very nice stag on your German knives today yourself! Great photo as always.
Camillus and Robeson.
Thanks Nick!!! Your late 40s Camillus and pre WWII Robeson look awesome together; perfect pairing!:D:thumbsup::thumbsup:
The three Stockmen of the Apocalypse. (I have no idea what that means, but it seems to fit these three which have been around for decades and are no worse for the wear!)

Wow Leslie, your three Case stockman look amazing; great shot too!:thumbsup::D
Two gorgeous Stag hafted Knives, JJ. GREAT image. The tiny serrations on the Hunter makes it extra special.
Thanks Harvey!!! I still recall picking that up at an outstanding sporting goods store called Abercrombie&Fitch (prior to becoming a clothing line.)
The first, just arrived is a Robeson Jack(peanut) in Strawberry Bone. My amateur sleuthing indicates that it was produced between 1948 and 1959. After 1959, the bone was replaced by delrin.

Your new Robeson peanut is excellent; I've never seen that cover/pattern combination! Another outstanding lamb with that delicious "deep dish" slice!:D:thumbsup::thumbsup:
Today, I'm totin' a Crown Cutlery Coke bottle hunter (1916-1919) in jigged bone and a Michael Tison small folder (1979) in requisite Stagurday stag along with me as I tote this Savage 99E (1964) in slightly distressed wood to a friend's farm to try some new .308 Win ammo. Although we are still in a drought, fair Fall weather has graced us today (low scudding clouds, seen reflected in the Crown hunter's blade, are now dispersed).

What a cool shot Stuart; all three items are beauties with that old coke bottle taking the match! Btw, what a great round for a lever gun!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Today would have been my father's 60th birthday. This morning I tossed his big ol' Klein lockback into my pocket, and I'm sure I'll spend a good bit of today chicken-eyeing, coon-fingering, and worry-stone-rubbing this big hunk of steel. Bummed that I have to work, but I'm glad I've got an excuse to carry his Klein outside today. Happy birthday, Bub.
