What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

The shield stayed on, though as they're glued and not pinned these days I can't say I would have been surprised. Love that copperlock BTW.

Probably a silly question:o, but do I assume you removed the sides to dye them (didn't just drop the whole knife into the dye)?

Yep, you put the whole knife in the dye/water mix. Take a look here.

Thanks Doug... I'd hoped that was the case because I really don't know how to go about disassembling a traditional but do have a couple I'd like to "freshen up"... it sounds/looks pretty simple (and I like simple:D).

took this one out for a pic yesterday, and decided to give it a little ride and oil and excercise...

Today, along with the Case SBJ that was from a forum member here, (the SWJ has been in my pocket nonstop since I got it in the begginin' of 2012) I'm carryin' a nice Buffalo Horn handled Laguiole Rossignol Folder, I like the size and feel of the Laguiole it's a people friendly knife and when ever we go out for dinner it's my steak knife.

That is funny, I just did, I have the same one except mine is serial # 4202, I always forget home much I like it until I put it in my hand, used it camping for a week up in Acadia as my only knife, did everything I needed it to, dinner prep, tent stakes, fuzz sticks, etc, nice solid knife, holds an edge well ( as long as you don't snap it shut ) nice positive lock up.
