Whatever else I've had with me, this Mercator has lived in my back pocket since it arrived at the end of last week, and has seen a lot of (my level of) work.

I'm taken by its utilitarian sleekness, how it begs to be put to work. What a slicer.

Of course, the Black Cat puts it over the top. :)

(I realize this is perhaps a "borderline" knife, but as other threads on Mercators have stood here in Traditional, I trust this is okay.)

While traveling back, my trusty #66 was in the pocket... here with some croatian beer

Sorry for the bad quality, but it was night and light wasn´t the best ... and the beer was pretty tasty - so this wasn´t my last one on that evening :D

Welcome back Andi, how was Croatia?

I'm carrying my Fruitport with ram's horn

I carried a Victorinox Spartan for years now since it was the right size and had in my opinion the best tool selection from the two layer models, but the perfect SAK doesn't exist. I always carry another traditional with at least one blade, so the main blade on the Spartan never saw much use. And since I don't drink wine the bottle opener is pretty useless as well. So I destroyed one of my other SAKs and salvaged the parts I actually use (or miss on the Spartan).
Because the plastic scales were damaged and didn't really fit anymore, I made some walnut scales. Even the toothpick and tweezers are in there, although it was a pain to make their slots :)

Sturzi - Croatia was great. Sun, beach and good food (including beer)

Great looking mod on that Victorinox :)

6.4 Turbo diesel, not my favorite to work on... so I need a litle help and my Boker was glad to oblige.

Thanks guys. As always with these little projects, I forget to take pictures of the progress and regret it as soon as I'm done.

Cheers Kris, that's one tasty beverage. It was one of the pleasant surprises when visiting the US although the Torpedo is even better :D

Love those Mercator's ~P  I think mine will go to Scouts tonight...
